Thousand years

chapter 1

After moving from town to town, we finally moved to Gatlinburg, it's just out outside of Knoxville Tennessee. The population is around everyone knows everyone and their bisnes. Out new house is designed by dad, something he picked up along the years is house design. It's white concrete one side is all glass the best part is that the Smokey Mountains start from our back yard.
The front door opens to the driveway, mom has planted flower benches on both sides of the stairs to the front door. Our drive way gravel it's rounded so one (meaning me) never has to back out of said driveway. Our house is surrounded by forest on every side, the road that leads to our house is in the middle of the forest. Our house is open floor plan the whole downstairs once you walk inside the house there is an entryway as mom calls it and then a huge room with a fire place, then even bigger living room both dad and mom have an office downstair and then there is the kitchen plus a big dining room. Our Kitchen has a big concrete top island, the whole house is very modern and minimal. The upstairs is where all the bedrooms are, my room is there just until my little cabin gets built. At the moment I have a huge room it goes and a little balcony that opens to the side of the Smokey Mountains. My room is white just white on white on white, that is how mom and dad want it.
We also have a basement where the gun storage is held and some other bibs and bobs.
Dad is planning on building a basketball yard for the boys and mom wants a tennis court, while I want a pool. But they say it's too much for our family. Please note the eye roll right about here.
All of us will have our own condo. Leo's and Nicole's is on the edge of the forest right next to Matty's and Thomas's place.
Luke's condo is the closest one to the house. They all have one bedroom one bathroom house with a little kitchen fitted in them and a small livingroom. All the house's match to the main house.
My condo will be wooden it will have a tiny porch and a yard.
My house is on the other side of the main house, the side that has no windows or balcony's so I will have privacy!
I will have a livingroom and a big bedroom a walk in closet and an on suite bathroom and a tub. I will have a kitchen and my own dining area. The living room has a door that opens up to my backyard I think I'll have a deck put in there. This is my plan and no one is going to talk me out of it.
I spend a lot of time in my room. Mom and dad have a rule that all the condos are private and everyone should have their own space.
We are not allowed to go to each other's homes without invitation. Well it's not mom' s and dad's rule as much as it is ours.
My room is mostly private still the boys pop in and out every now and again.
My room has the basics I have a big TV and a computer. This is my sanctuary this is the place I feel safe. My bed is big I have a couch and a little fridge in my room too.

We moved here from New Jersey we had to move because seaside was getting a little too famous for our taste.
Dad is the king of Tennessee we stayed in New Jersey for a couple of years until dad sold it. He used to be king there too but yes he sold New Years and gained some other state that I do not have to care. Lucas and I were supposed to start our new semester of high school again. Thank god Lucas was coming with me. That way I wouldn't have to be alone. Luke and I had gone to school for years mostly because that's how we get friends and we don't have nothing else to do.
Oh Did I mention I had finally learned what my power was. I could feel what others were feeling and I heard their thoughts, not vampire thoughts but, how cool.
Being what I am isn't exactly easy. But it comes handy in high school. At least I know what to do and what not to do.
Well sometimes it's really lonely hearing other peoples thoughts, I know exactly what they think of me. Most of them are pretty good but the mean girls. Now they make my blood pressure rise, if I had blood pressure.

Matthew and Leonardo had started a new bisnes, they started looking for a place as soon as they heard that we were moving. The summer before we started school they bought an auto repair shop. They have been remodelling that shop the entire summer, both of them being car freaks, that is the perfect job for them. The whole family has been helping them get that shop ready they had help too electricity work is not really their strong suit. Over the years Leo has become his own man he is still involved in the family business but not as much as before.
The summer was over fast and school was starting again.
High school is pretty much all the same no matter where you go to school. This would be our senior year and I was graduating early because I had done so many classes in my old school. Thank god I was really over high school I was ready for something more. Im thinking of starting a business for myself not sure what kind of business or maybe I start doing vampire business with dad or even by myself?
Most vampire's don't have to go to school, but dad thinks that will help our image and that way we seem more normal whatever that is? And we can stay in one place longer, all the vampire shows and books have hit the stores dad had been especially paranoid of being caught. Sometimes I would love to be just a vampire not having to pretend to be a teenager. Lucas loves high school usually he's the king of campus he is pretty good at everything he does.
It was Monday morning the first day of school. My alarm clock stated making the most annoying sound ever! I got up from my big all too comfortable bed and went to the bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth put on my slippers and walked down stairs. Luke was already at the table waiting for mom to serve him his food.
I wanted to scream CHILD in his ear
I just bit my lip so didn't make a sound.
Our kitchen table was round so we could all talk to each other. Mom was warming up our ''food.'' She was wearing her hair short now days and she had on a white dress with red polka dots in it.
Well mom did love the fifties and she liked getting dressed up for dad. I think dad liked the idea of her being a housewife.
Luke was his charming old self, he looked just like a Hollywood teenager and I knew all too well every girl in school would be after him.
I didn't exactly date human or vampires. well actually I didn't date period.
The start of school breakfast was tradition in our family. Like every year the boys started fighting over food. This was the one good thing about being a vampire I could eat as much as I wanted and no one would judge me for it.
"Boys stop it right now! You too can get your asses out of those chairs and go make your own food. Dear lord every year the some thing. You two start fighting about anything every year every god damn year"Mom said in her mom tone
"Sorry mom!" Luke said
"Yeah sorry mom" added Matty and Leo
I couldn't help but to smile. Every year the same thing.
But hey that's just us.
So I went upstairs to my room to get ready. After I went up to take a shower I started getting dressed.
I put on my favourite pair of white shorts and a black top, some sneakers and my black hoody. Just as I was finishing putting on my makeup there was a knock on the door.
Luke opened the door without waiting to be summoned inside. "Hey sis." He said grinning"
"What Luke!" I said snapping at him.
"Go ask dad for the keys to the Lambo." Luke always wanted to go to school in style and he always used me to get what he wanted.
"No you go ask. I don't want to go in the Lambo too flashy for my taste." I said while putting mascara on my eyes.
Luke pouted his lips at me "Please Prue, go ask him. You know dad can't say no to you." Luke was giving me the poppy eyes. Luke knew I couldn't say no to him. Still a girl has to stick to her guns. "No Luke, you go and don't you dare use those puppy eyes on me. Seriously Luke Stop. I am not doing it no, no. NO! Oh fine every year." I said putting my things away and walking downstairs with Luke behind me.
I knocked to the door of my dad's study where he was sitting. Dad looked important he was wearing black suit pants white button shirt with a tie. Mom always ties it around his neck every day. Dad hair was cut short and he styled it neatly which meant that he combed it and put a little gel in it.
Dad liked sitting in his study coz he couldn't stand first days of school, he didn't like when we fought not even about little things. He says that we are all we have and we should stick together no matter what. "Daddy?"
He looked up from the computer and shut the screen. " yes Honey"
"I just wanted to ask if I could use the Mercedes to day." Said to him
"Sure honey."
"Really, thank you." I actually was surprised since dad didn't give the Mercedes to us even when it does not cost as much as the Lambo.
"Prue?" Dad said just as i was walking out of his office
"Yes dad?"
"Your brother wanted the Lambo didn't he" Dad was grinning so i knew he wasn't mad.
"Well... umm... yes."
dad stated laughing. I love when he laughs. It sounds like a little troll high on weed.
"Every year you to start this same thing." He said chuckling at me .
"Well every year Lucas tells me to come and ask for the keys. Someday when he finally comes here, he can ask for the car that he wants."
"That's true Dear." Dad said and I closed the door and took my bag and went outside to wait for Luke. He knew immediately that I didn't have the keys to the Lambo. Luke started laughing since he knew I did this every year.
He didn't mind this was our thing.
Or I think he didn't mind.
Lucas and I did the same thing, we fought who would get to drive, usually I gave up because when Luke didn't get his way he acted like a little... well insert a curse word here. Luke was wearing jeans and a white t shirt that hugged his abs. YACH!
He had styled his hair, every single hair was in its right place. Kind of like a Mohawk but with more hair. He was wearing sun glasses Ray Bans, his favourite Luke didn't have a book bag he just carried a pen behind his ear and his books he carried in his hands.
Boys they have it so easy.
