Sarah's pov
"Wake up, pup!" a voice called from outside my cell. I wouldn't open my eyes. I couldn't open my eyes. They were swollen shut. I knew if I didn't open my eyes, they would just hurt me more than I already am. I forced them open a crack but sadly just in time to see a fist come crashing down on me.
"I said wake up you little bitch!" The same voice spat out. I forced my eyes all the way open and thanks to my wolf healing, they were almost already healed. I was forced all the way out of bed by a large hand grabbing my hair and yanking me out from under the thin sheets.
"The pack is waiting for you to go make breakfast so get dressed and don't keep them waiting or else, well, you know what happens." And with that, he left me.
This has been going on for about 3 years. I was 14 when the rouges kidnapped me and my brother during an attack on our pack. My brother, Paul, was killed several days later for resisting and talking back, leaving me to fend for myself. Just last year was my sixteenth birthday. I had my first shift in this hell hole but they only allowed me to shift that once. I haven't shifted since. They strictly prohibited it.
I'm seventeen now. The rouges that kidnapped me were allowed to become a full blown pack, the Dark Moon pack. My wolf, Lea, hasn't spoken since my first shift and it kills me that I can't talk to her. I need to get out of here and find my mate. Maybe he can help us. Thank goddess he's not part of this pack.
I quickly snap out of my thoughts and get ready to make the pack breakfast. I rush upstairs since my room is in the basement but when I reach the top I hit a wall.
"Watch where you're going dumbass!" Ok so it wasn't a wall, it was a man from my pack. I went to apologize but he slapped me instead. I felt the sting on my cheek but quickly apologized and scampered to the kitchen.
I grabbed the pancake mix and eggs and sausage and began cooking. An hour later, I had just finished when pack members came and took their seats at the table. I put all the food on the table and as usual, not a single thank you was uttered. Instead, when I leaned over to pick up a napkin someone had dropped, someone smacked my butt. I wirled around only to see it was the Alpha's son, James. He gave me a smirk and went to take his seat at the table.
Not again, I thought. Last time he did that, he beat me, dragged me to his room, tied me to his bed and almost raped me. He got a mind link from someone at the last second and had to go. He let me free but I think he wants to finish what he started.
When breakfast was over and all the wolves had left, I cleaned up the table then rushed to do the rest of my chores. Dusting, sweeping, cleaning, vacuuming and so much more, I'm usually lucky if I finish by sunset.
