'So what exactly does this do, again?' Lucas asked, staring down at the small white tablet in his hands. He was standing at his locker.
[Whoever injests the Truth Pill will speak nothing but the truth for a duration of 1 hour.]
Lucas smirks. It would be easy. All he had to do was get Miles to swallow it somehow, and then get him alone. He would record him as he asked the questions he couldn't lie about. The main question being; What really happened with Charlie? This would make him confess the truth, and he would share it with the entire school. Then Charlie wouldn't be so unpopular, and Lucas wouldn't have to pretend they weren't friends at school anymore. Charlie would have a happy, normal life again. Lucas was playing dirty, he knew that. But Miles deserved it. Miles would get what was coming to him, through the rumors Miles so desperately loved to spread. It was sweet, sweet revenge. It would also help in his favor, when the whole school found out about him being gay and lying, Miles wouldn't be the golden boy anymore, and Lucas could swoop in and take his place. And then, slowly but surely, he would be the most popular person in this world.
He stuffed it into his pocket and closed his locker, feigning a smile when Miles approached him, "Good morning." Lucas greeted. Lucas felt sick by the smile Miles sent him in return.
"You seem to be in a good mood today." Miles noticed, walking with Lucas towards his class.
"Do I? I hadn't noticed."
Lucas forced himself to keep up the friendly conversation, talking about the things they usually talked about. Every morning Miles walked him to class, talked to him. Lucas used to be glad for it, but now all Lucas wanted to do was punch him in the face. He really was a good liar, wasn't he? Smiling as if he had not a care in the world. That only thing Lucas was now glad for while being around Miles was that he started picking up his conversational habits. Keeping eye contact, always having a topic to talk about, knowing when and when not to laugh.
"See you at Lunch," Miles waved and Lucas watched as he walked down the hallway.
Right, Lunch. His smile grew even wider. Lunch was when the first step of his plan would come into fruition.

"Want to go to the vending machine? I'll buy you something." Lucas casually asks Miles. They sit at their usual, busy lunch table.
Miles shrugs, "Well, if you're buying."
Yes! He said yes, now I have to buy him a drink, slip in the pill and make him drink it. Then, bring him somewhere secluded.
Miles follows Lucas as he walks towards the exit of the cafeteria. Lucas sends one last glance towards Charlie and Ben, where Charlie stares after him confusedly, if not a little pained. Lucas sends him what he hopes is a reassuring wink before the pair pass through the cafeteria doors. They walk down the empty hallways in silence towards the vending machines. Lucas tries to keep his expression neutral, trying to stay as calm as possible and totally not at all suspicious. Lucas approached the vending machine and pulled his wallet out of his pocket, "What do you want?"
"Coke." Miles says from behind him, and Lucas hums in acknowledgement. He presses the button and the soda falls down, he reaches down to pick it up, holding it in his hand. He lets out a loud cough as he twists the cap open and quickly pops the pill in. It dissolves almost instantly, fizzling for a a quick second. Lucas secures it shut again as tight as he possibly could. He was glad his back was to Miles, and hoped Miles wasn't paying attention too carefully.
