"This is an outrage!" I yell. "I know sweetie, but we can always use a chicken instead." she replied trying to cheer me up. "No, because it's not Thanksgiving without a turkey!" I exclaimed as I stomped to my room and slammed the door. "I can't believe this is happening." I murmured.
Christmas Eve
I burst out of my room and ran straight towards my mom. "I know I've asked you this almost everyday since you told me, but has the turkey population increased?" I asked anxiously. My mom turned to look at me with a smile on her face. "I heard this morning on the news that the turkey population increased so much that there is enough for everyone to get two, but we're not going to do that because we don't want next year to end up like this year." she joked. I smiled from ear to ear and laughed. "Thanksgiving here we come!"
Christmas Day
I open my crystal blue eyes only to remember that it's Christmas yet Thanksgiving at the same time. I jump out of bed and run out to the living room. I see my whole family sitting at the dinner table in their pajamas. "Come join us sweetie." says my grandma as I go and sit next to her. There on the table sits a nice, plump, and juicy turkey while under the tree sits so many presents it's hard to count them all. "Well what are we waiting for? Dig in!" shouts my dad as he starts cutting the turkey and passing out stuffing. "You know what? This was actually pretty awesome having Thanksgiving and Christmas on the same day. I just hope it doesn't happen again." I said.
