(Eddie's pov)

"Hey there, how was your sleep" I asked them as they yawned and rubs their eyes, they looked up at me.

"Hey dad, are we at the inn yet" they asked as they looked around.

"No not yet, hey Richie how close are we to the inn" I asked as we both looked towards him.

"We're close but maybe about 10 mins away" he told us as I looked back down at Y/n who put their head back on my chest and looked out the window. I followed their gaze as I looked out the window too, only this time nothing stuck out as things went by. It was quiet except for the music that was playing from the radio.

"No no no not again" I could hear Y/n start to freak out and squeeze me. I looked down to see them still looking out the window. They suddenly turned and put their head in my chest.

"Hey hey what's going on, what's wrong Y/n" I held them as I noticed that they were doing the same thing that happened at the restaurant when they got really scared.

"He's here, he's here, he won't go away dad. Why won't he go away" there yell was muffled as I looked towards Richie who was looking all around, I looked out the window again only seeing the balloon once again there.

"Where is he" Richie asked them as they shook their head,

"The balloon, that's his balloon, it was at the food place before he appeared" they cried out as I only hugged them.

"Don't you worry, I'm here, I'm here" i kept telling them as I kissed their head.

"That fucking clown won't get you Y/n, he can't do anything while your dad and I'm here" I heard Richie say to them as they only shook their head and held onto me, I looked out side to no longer see the red balloon.

"Hey we're here" Richie said as I watched us pull into the inn.

"Come on Y/n let's get our stuff and get out of here" I told them as they got up and shook their head no,

"No he is out there, I don't want to go out there" they cried out as I lifted up their face to look at me. It hurt me to see them this upset, so I wiped away their tears.

"Y/n that stupid clown won't come near you okay. He is just a big meanie that wants to make you sad. But you can beat him by smiling. If your happy he can't get you so I want to see that big smile of yours" Richie said as I felt Y/n look towards him. She started to smile,

"O-o-okay richie I'll try" they said as they tried to stop crying. I then came up with an idea,

"Hey how about once we leave, we go and have a family day, just you and I" I asked them as I could see a small smile.

"Really, could we really have a family day" they asked as I smiled,

"Of course, we could go and watch a movie or go to the park and get ice cream, your choice" I told them as they looked at me then at Richie.

"Could Richie come along with us, I like him" they asked as I was a bit shocked at their question. I looked over at Richie to see him just as surprised as I was.

"Uhhhhh ummmmm well...." I scratched the back of my head,

"Of course kiddo, I would love to join you and your dad on this fun day" Richie said as he rubbed his hand on their head, in which made them laugh. We opened the car door as Y/n jumped out as they laughed and smiled in joy. They really are the sunshine of my life. I closed the door and went to grab Y/n's hand to only notice that they were already holding Richie's hand as they both smiled at each other.

"Come on dad, were gonna beat you" Y/n yelled out as I looked towards the inn,

"Yeah come on Eddie spaghetti " Richie yelled as he quickly picked up Y/n and put then on his shoulders and started to run towards the inn. I could hear Y/n screaming in joy as i could hear Richie laughing as well.

"Hahaha Eddie spaghetti" Y/n laughed as I rolled my eyes,

"Don't call me that and be careful Richie, you could trip on the smallest pebble, and and if you fell that could cause cuts and then infection. H-hey Richie do you hear me" I yelled towards the two as I I ran to catch up.
