Y/n pov
I watched the buildings go by as I stared out the window of the bus. Today was the last day of school and I was excited to get home to see my dad, I wonder what he is up to, he seemed to be more stressed then usual. Maybe work is being to hard on him, he needs to have a break for once.
"Hey loser, what are you starring at, you imaginary friend" Mitch said as I suddenly felt my head hit the glass.
"Ow what the fuck Mitchel, would you leave me alone" I yelled as I rubbed my forehead as I looked back to see him with an angry look.
"What did you say to me you freak" he yelled as he grabbed my hair. I yelled out as I swung and hit him in the face.
"Fuck!" Mitchel yelled as he swung at me. I ducked under his arm as he went to grab me again,
"Get back here kaspatch, your dead" Mitch yelled as I felt the bus stop. I looked up quickly as I noticed that it was my stop. I got up as fast as I could as I ran through the asile as I hoped over the steps and landed on the sidewalk. I smiled as I looked back and waved at Mitch as the bus drove off. Thank God it was summer, I don't really have to deal with his bullying anymore. I started to walk down the side walk and avoided all the people as I made it to a big apartment, dad usually parked infront of the building since it was our spot but I noticed that there was a different car there this time.
"I wonder who's car that is, dad's not home yet and Martha is still shopping" I questioned as I looked at the new vehicle. I shrugged it off as I walked up the steps and through the glass doors. I got into the elevator and pushed the 6th floor button. Once the doors opened I walked down the hallway and stopped infront of my door. I went to put the key in the lock only to notice that the door was already unlocked, now I was worried. Dad never leaves the door unlock, who could be in our house.
I slowly opened the door as I peaked through looking to see if I could see anyone, no one was around so I slipped through. I put my bag down slowly as I went for the closet to grab one of my baseball bats. Once I had the bat I slowly made it around the house looking for any sign of movement or activity.
I heard thumps come from our bedrooms as I quickly turned towards them and slowly made my way there. I noticed that my dad's room was slightly open, I heard the thumps again as I quietly made it to the door.
I took a deep breath as I held a tight grip on the bat, and quickly swung the door open.
