I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS BULLSHIT
TWO WEEKS BEFORE JIMIN'S STROKE
What is that feeling of loneliness that can make you do stupid things but at the same time can provoke some kind of strength to take over you, so you can overcome it and try to stay in place? This is the question that Jungkook was trying to get an answer for but seemed not to have it.
After a life of looking for love and acceptance, getting to know someone like Park Jimin was hitting the jackpot for Jungkook, since everything he got from his family was pure and unadulterated deprecation. But for some reason it was all forgotten by the young man after meeting the sweetest boy that has ever existed in this world. Jeon Jungkook didn't know if that was love or merely admiration for Jimin, but he was truly sure that everything he felt for him was one hundred percent real.
"Ok, Jimin... you are wrong! We all know a rat wouldn't eat a whole cabbage in one night!" Jungkook said in an exasperated and childish way that would make anyone cringe all over the place "The fuck you say? I'm not wrong because there are big rats that could do it and let me catch one of those so I can show how I'm right! Gosh, Kook, I didn't sign up for this bullshit", both men laughed at that.
That was the weirdest conversation that someone could hear while passing by the bistro they were having lunch at, the same place they went for lunch every Wednesday and Sunday, a tradition acquired after three months of... dating.
The relationship part was a secret, you know, going public with one of the most powerful politicians of South Korea's son seemed kind of complicated for Jimin and his boyfriend agreed with him.
"Kook, I've been thinking about what you said of taking singing classes with your friend, what was his name?" "Uh yeah, Tae, he's an amazing teacher" "I guess he is, can we go next week, please? I read singing can help distressing and helps curing anxiety, so I guess we could do it together and se what happens" that's the moment when Jungkook notices how mesmerizing Jimin looks under the faint light of autumn, and how his lips curve under the most beautiful of smiles. "Perfect, just let me make some calls and we'll have a few hours with him on Saturday, baby" Jungkook said with a big smile all over his face.
After having a great meal, they decided to pay a visit to one of Jimin's friends, the most cold, calculating and smart lawyer they would ever know: Min Yoongi. But honestly, those were just words, because that guy was as sweet as sugar. Judges and lawyers were scared of him, but they didn't know that the same man that was decided to win every case he was handed, was the same man who petted stray cats, had a puppy called Min Holly and loved hot cocoa with cozy blankets on winter nights.
Yeah, this is much to process in one paragraph but this what this story is about: people not being what they seem.
And there they were, standing in front of one of the most elegant buildings in all Seoul, the one that belongs to Kim, Min & associates, the most prestigious buffet in the city. Not just because of the aesthetic of the building or the experience of the lawyers with their renown of years. It was the humanity they put in every one of their jobs that made them known in all the nation.
As always, the couple just came in to the lobby and greeted politely to the lovely receptionist whose name was Jisoo, she let them know that Mr. Min was already waiting for them in his office.
Jimin knocked the door and heard a soft "come in" which they obeyed, opening the door and closing it behind them when they were already in. "Hey, Jimin, finally decided to pay me a visit after like a thousand years, huh? Hello, Jungkook, how are you? How are your parents? It's a shame I haven't seen senator Jeon since August."
