"okay but if you had to decide between a duck and a chicken, which one would it be?"

"the hell? what kind of question is that?" bakugou asked, annoyance creeping into his voice.

he was currently laying down on the couch, his head resting on kirishima's lap who trailed his fingers through the male's hair.

"if i had to choose i'd say a duck."

"to hell with that, i'd pick a chicken," bakugou replied. "ow shitty hair. stop pulling on my hair you ass."

"funny, you weren't complaining last-"

"shut the hell up dumbass, sheesh."

the light shade of pink that dusted his cheeks didn't go unnoticed, but i decided not to comment on it. i enjoy being alive, thank you very much.

kirishima grinned before glancing down at his phone. "it's getting late and we have class tomorrow so we're heading to bed."

"oh okay, you two sleep well."

bakugou mumbled under his breath as he sat up and stretched before following kirishima out of the room. now it was just me and a few other students who remained in the common area.

to pass the time, i took my phone out of my pocket and perched myself on the couch, clicking on my instagram. i scrolled through the contents, liking a post here and commenting there. before i knew it, the clock struck ten.

maybe i should get some sleep, we do have classes tomorrow but the thought of closing my eyes and surrendering to the darkness didn't sit well with me. 

it made my skin crawl, after all when i slept there was nothing but nightmares. images from my past that haunted me every night i closed my eyes.  for me, sleep was out of the question.

"you're still up?"

i jumped before looking over the couch to catch sight of shinso, to my surprise he was wearing his pajamas. a black shirt with a kitten on it, followed by a pair of black pajama bottoms.

"yeah...what are you up to?" i asked as i turned off my phone.

he held up a blanket and a laptop. "i was planning on watching a movie."

"oh."

"...if you want, you can join me."

heck, watching a movie seemed like a better idea than sleeping.

"i'd like that."
