-Hello again! I've finally gotten around to making the third part of this story. Same guys, sorry. I'll make some for my other characters soon though!-

I remember now, a day in spring. It had been pouring rain all day, no one dared to go outdoors. Fairies feared the large drops of water hitting their wings and causing them to plummet to their demise, where as gnomes, such as myself, feared sinking into the mud and drowning. It hadn't been this bad since the last generation. However, through the rain pounding on my roof, a new sound emerged. A knock. I was surprised, to say the least, that someone had gone out in this storm to visit me, but I had an idea of who it was. When I opened the door, there he was. Covered in rain water and mud. Damien shivered from the cold, but he also looked quite startled.
"M-may I come in?" he asked. I nodded, knowing I had to clean the room anyway, and he trudged inside.
"Why did you come out here in a storm like this?" I questioned. He chuckled, seeming to be back to his normal self.
"Why do I always come out here?" He took off his jacket and looked at it sadly, as it had been a muddy mess after he went out there. "Though, I have to admit, this was the most dangerous trek I think I've had to take." He let out a titter before saying, "I could've died." He began to look for where to put his jacket.
"That's exactly why I keep telling you to not come when there's a storm. Why, I'm sure many people would be devastated if you'd gotten hurt out there." I took the jacket and hung it up on the wall.
"Would you be?" he asked, almost like a child.
"Well of course. I'd worry if anyone I knew got hurt." He smiled again. He tried brushing some of the dried up dirt out of his beard, but to no avail. "The shower is down that way if you'd like to wash off, which I'd prefer you did. I can also wash your clothing while you're in there." He seemed surprised, slightly flustered, even.
"Well, you don't have to," he said, avoiding my eyes.
"Please, you need clothes and I'm afraid mine won't fit you. Our body types are very different." I said, I'll admit, sarcastically. "Besides, you've been here so many times I'm surprised you're so uncomfortable with it." Damien nodded, and walked to the washroom.

It was still pouring outside, and some areas had begun to flood. Being at the top of a hill, I was safe for now, but I feared the whole town would flood if this kept going. The washroom door opened and Damien walked out.
"Still pouring out there, huh?" he asked. He and his clothing were fully clean, and his hair was still slightly wet. I only hummed in response. He frowned at the silence and stared out the window with me. I sighed and looked at him.
"Are you feeling alright now?" I asked. Damien nodded. His smile returned when I started talking to him, and I couldn't help but smile back. "Do tell me, what exactly happened when you made your way up here?"
"Well, you see, as I was going up the mountain, I think that maybe I hit a pocket in the ground, or maybe an especially wet area, and I fell. I started sinking into the mud, and I panicked a bit. I eventually got out though, so don't worry." He smiled and continued to look out the window. He rubbed his eyes while covering his mouth and yawned.
"Do you want to sleep in my room?" I asked. Damien seemed flustered again.
"I'll just sleep on the couch." He rubbed the back of his head.
"My bed is big enough," I insisted. He looked away and sighed.
"If you insist." He stood up and walked to where my room was. I followed after taking one last look out the window. He was sitting on the bed and looked at me. He was slightly swaying and his eyes opened and closed repeatedly.
"You didn't have to wait for me." Damien looked away. I walked to the bed and laid down next to him.
"I didn't think I could lay on your bed alone..." He laid down and closed his eyes. With a last huff, he fell asleep. I had done so as well.

I awoke in the morning, feeling strangely warm. As I looked to my side, I noticed there was an arm around my waist. Damien was still resting next to me, hugging my body closer to his. I sighed and smiled, patting his head and sitting up in bed.
