PROLOUGE

THE MISSION

“Sir, Azul is here.”

“Ah, good, good. Send her in. send her in.”

A pale young woman walked in to the room, she had bright blue eyes and black hair. She slid an envelope across the desk.

“You called for me Monty?”

“Yes child. Sit down, sit down. Make yourself comfortable.”

“Please, cut the crap. I have school in six hours. And it’s my graduation day. Who do you want dead?”

“Well. I’ve heard of your blood thirsty hate against the Fallen Angels, and I thought you would like an opportunity at their lives. I want you to kill the whole gang. Any way you want. Take as long as you need. But don’t stop until all of them are dead.”

“Oh. That won’t be a problem. But knowing you, there’s a catch. What is it, money, fame, glory, or credit?”

“Ah, you know me so well. Your friends may know about the mission, but no one may know who gave it to you. I will put you under protection, and I will pay you $300,000. What do ya say? Deal?”

“One question. Why me? Why would you choose me, an assassin in training, against all of the professionals? What do I have that they don’t?”

“Persistence, motivation, want, desire, and hate. I know the Angels have taken much from you. That’s why you are perfect for the job. Well Azul?  Do we have a deal?”

Azul smiled. “Yes Monty. Why, yes we do. I’ll get them dead in a year. No problem.”

“Here,” Monty gave Azul some manila folders. “This is a portfolio of each and every one of them. It contains where they live, if they have a family, charges, styles, height, looks, and their recent place of interest.”

“That, that… Is kind of creepy, but, useful. Do you have one on me…? ‘Cuz that would be creepy too.”

Monty laughed. “No, only the people I hate.”

“Okay, azul Rosa está a su servicio. Adiós.” Azul said, as she bowed down and walked out the door.

“what did she say?” asked the door man.

“rose blue is at your service. It’s spanish.” Monty replied looking after the young assassin.

Chapter one: hunting

Soft breathing echoes in the dark. She’s chased her prey to this dark mucky ruin. They’ve been desperately running from her for almost a year now. This was the longest assignment since her graduation. She smiled. She’s got them blind in a corner, and they don’t even know it. She stops at a corner, and flattens herself against the wall. Heavy breathing is coming from around the corner. They probably didn’t even know she was right behind them. She tightens the grip on her knife, getting ready to strike. She silently turns the corner, and pounces. She jumps over him, and stabs the nape of his neck. She drags her knife through his skull and softly lands on the other side. She drops a black rose in the pool of blood. She silently walks on. One down… eight more to go. She cleans off her knife on her cloak and trails her hand on the wall.

Suddenly, someone stumbles from behind her. She spins around and catches them before they hit the ground. She put them in to a head lock and growled.
