I stood up, and closed the TV as quick as I could. "No.." Alexa laughed, and faded away. I fell down on the couch, and tears started falling down. I didn't want anyone else to be a part of this. Why-
"Y/n?" Phil said, looking at me, shocked. I turned my attention to him, and quickly blacked out. I opened my eyes, to see yet another lifeless, black space. "Alexa?" I blurted out.
"Yeah?" Alexa, appears, changing forms. She mostly looked like a flowing piece of liquid. My eyes widened, until she went back to her normal form. For a while, I thought I saw my own brother. "What was.." I said, pointing at her. She shrugged. "I don't really know. I don't know me." She said, fiddling with her hair.
"Anyways, did you enjoy the surprise?"
She said, smirking. It felt like she had no shame. "How could you...?" I said, staring at her menacingly, but she didn't even flinch. "You don't understand. If every human can have a blessing, then can't they have a curse?" She said, fading away. I wake up, to see myself in a bed. Phil was next to me, watching over me. He was sound asleep. It was already nighttime, so it was expected. I saw his square, silver pendant just hanging from his neck.
I sighed, and slid my fingers through my ruined hair. "I'm sorry.." I said, looking down. "You look down a lot." Phil said, his flag quickly changing colors. My eyes widened. His voice suddenly got deeper. "Phil...?" I said, backing away. He shook his head. "I prefer Martial Law." He closed up to me. "You must be..Y/n. My brother talks about you, a lot." I furrowed my eyebrows. Phil had a brother? "Brother?" I asked. Slowly inching closer to him. "I can't tell you everything quickly, but yes, I am his brother."
He said, his flag colors changing again. I eventually see a dazed Phil. "Y/n!" He said. He quickly hugged me, and mumbled out, "Salamat sa Diyos."
I chuckled, and hugged him back. He turned hot, and quickly backed away from me. "You're sick again." I said, closing in on him. "You're acting...really weird." I said, my mind going back to Martial. "What do you mean!? I-I'm not acting weird!" He said, blushing. I laughed, and nodded. "Okay then." I answered.Tommorow came, and I slowly woke up from my slumber. I sat up, and fixed my hair, going downstairs. "Phil!" I exclaimed, almost running on the stairs. Then, a sad Phil greeted me. And Britain. "Hey there. Well..um.. Germany finally found a way to take you home." He said, scratching the back of his head. My eyes widened. I don't want to...I don't want to leave. I wanted to go on another outing with Phil, and see other places with him. I stepped down, and walked to the two.
"When can I go home?" I asked, biting my lower lip, and holding my arm. "As early as..today." Phil said, his voice becoming more sadder. He patted my back, and escorted Britain outside his house. I went back up, and grabbed my bag. My eyes started tearing up, but I wiped them away. I was sad. Let me admit that. "This is the first time I ever felt bad for you." I hear a voice say to me. "I can see." I said in reply. "Of course you can. You're not blind." Alexa bitterly said, crossing her arms.
I wore my bag, and went down. I know for a fact something was not going well, and I don't know if I liked it or not. Phil was waiting for me outside, a drowsy look on his face. He opened his car, and I went in. The whole journey was silent. I was looking out the window, the sun touching my cold, seemingly lifeless skin. I sighed, and the car stopped. "So..we're here now. Um...Germany figured out that if you easily went through the border, then..you can easily get out." Phil got out, and I got out, bringing my bag with me. He was looking sadly at the necklace. I smiled, while he was looking away.
I know he didn't want to see me. I deserved it. I waved my hand, and went on ahead. I inched closer and closer to the border, until I just bumped into it. Wait..what? "I can't pass through." I said. Phil looked at me, shocked. I stood up again, and tried, but failed. I could hear happy noises from the back, but I couldn't look back. Alexa was in front of me, looking shocked. "Even I don't.." She said, fading away. I looked back to see Phil stretching his hand out, waiting for me to grab it.
I grabbed it, and stood up. We went back to the car, and drove to Britain. We eventually arrived, and just waited for him to answer the door. "Are we gonna have another meeting?" I asked, looking at him. He nodded his head. "Yeah. We will." He said, as he turned to me. I don't know what to feel. I was happy I can be with Phil a little longer, but the thought of leaving Charlotte alone, well..it feels bad. Eventually, someone opened the door.
It was... America? "America! What are you doing here?" I asked. "He's Britain's son Y/n-" Phil whispered to me. "OH! Oh.." I said, looking away, embarrassed, and blushing. America chuckled, and let us in. The next thing I know, Britain was glaring at me, very seriously. I grew a bit uncomfortable, and looked away. "I really couldn't..pass through the barrier.." I mumbled. "I'll discuss this with Germany. For now, you two rest. I'll be telling the countries about the meeting and we'll discuss this." I nodded my head, and Phil and I left.
"How do countries work? Do you guys..like..govern your own countries or something?" I asked. Phil shook his head. "That's what presidents do. We, determine what happens to our countries. Like, if we're hungry, and really need to go buy groceries, then..our country is going through a hunger crisis. Or..if volcanoes start exploding, we might just have popped a pimple." I nodded my head, and he chuckled. "I'm surprised you're only curious now." I shrugged. "Why did you decide to work in a flower shop?" I looked away. "I actually wanted to be a geographer. That's why I know your flags." He looked at me shocked. "Really?" He asked. I nodded my head.
Is that my curse?
end.
