I let go, and hid the pendant under my shirt. The same thing happened as the last time. The same happy memories, that I didn't want to remember. The same smiles I wish I didn't see. The same.. accident.
I shook my head, holding on tight to the pendant that hanged on my neck. Phil looked at me, a concerned look clearly on his face. "Are you alright?" He asked. I tensed up, and nodded my head as quickly as possible. I held his arm, and tried to divert his attention by pointing my finger at another food stand. We ran towards it, and bought food.
The next thing I knew, we were back in the same place. The same scene. While we were walking, I stopped in my tracks, and took my pendant off. I bit my lip, still worrying. I shook my head.
This time. I will save you.
I rushed to his side, and he stopped walking. I tried to look surprised, and luckily, he didn't notice anything. I quickly hid my pendant inside my pocket and said, a bit of nervousness in my voice.
"Are you... alright?" I asked, tilting my head as he turned around, a smile on his face. He held the same white box as he did the last time. He opened it, and got out the same pendant. My eyes widened, and I smiled. A few tears about to fall on my face. I looked at him, and asked. "Can you put it on for me..?" He smiled, and put it on me. Then, the large truck passed us by. Just as he finished, the truck was gone.
I smiled widely, and pulled Phil into one of the tightest hugs I have ever done. Tears were falling out of my face.
I did it.
He let go and tried to comfort me as we walked back home. Rain started pouring. We rushed to the nearest bus stop shelter, but we still got wet nonetheless. We laughed it off, and just sat down on our seat. "Today was fun." I said, looking up despite the roof covering the dark skies.
Phil nodded his head in agreement, and turned his gaze to me. I looked back at him, and we both stared at each other for a really long time. "I wish we could do this all the time." He said as he went closer. I nodded my head and looked down. "Yeah, but, I can't stay here for so long." I sadly said. I had my priorities too. I held the necklace hanging on my neck, and just put a slight smile on my face. "Do you..like it?" He asked, a bit shy. I happily looked at him and nodded my head. He smiled, and blushed, looking away.
I tilted my head. "Have you ever fallen in love with someone?" I unknowingly asked. He turned red, turning his gaze to me as fast as possible. "Wha-what.." He asked, stuttering. He covered his face, and sighed. He shrugged and put his hands down. "I honestly don't know what I feel." Then, silence ensued the shelter. Only the noise of the rain sounded. "It only takes us a fifth of a second to know if we're in love or not, and just by that, I'm already doubting you."
I said, a smirk on my face. He furrowed his eyebrows, and eventually stood up, raising his hands a bit. "No, no, I swear! I'm not in love!" He defensively said. I stood up, the smirk still on my face. I patted his shoulder, looking at him. "Say that to the girl you love." I said as I went on ahead. "I already did." I heard a whisper say from behind. I blushed and turned around. I pretended not to hear anything.
"Did you say something?" I asked, an obvious smile on my face. He blushed, and ran to me. "N-no.." He shyly said. I giggled and held his sleeve. "Come on!" I happily said as I pulled him back home with me. We ran and ran until we reached Phil's house. He opened the door, and we both went in. I stretched my arms and went up, to dress into a comfortable {insert choice of clothes here}. "I'm going up!" I said, as I climbed my way up through the stairs. I saw him nod his head, and go on ahead.
I reached my room, and unlocked the door. Then, I heard a thud. I was back in Alexa's world. But, it was a white room. Or..it looked more like a lab. I slowly opened the door of the room, to reveal a lot of gadgets and gizmos. I turned my head, and saw so many peculiar things. Then, I saw him. My eyes widened. I could feel myself rushing faster and faster, tears falling down my face. "Alex!-" I shouted before I heard him screaming in pain. I covered my mouth, falling down on my knees.
My eyes opened, to see myself on the floor. I picked myself up, and tried to get it off my mind. But, I couldn't. I dressed up, and rushed back down, to see Phil. He was just sitting on the couch. I wanted to tell him about it, but if I did, I would be involving him in problems he didn't deserve to be involved in. I toughened up, and smiled as I walked my way towards him. He looked back, smiling. He slid slightly to the right, and I flopped on the couch, just sighing.
I grabbed the remote and opened the television. I was still bummed out, but there was no need to show and tell. Not long, Phil fell asleep. I wasn't going anywhere near sleep. I was getting insomnia from thinking too much about it. I finally stood up, and grabbed a blanket. I put it on Phil, and put on my shoes. "I should probably go there.." I said, opening the door and leaving the map I drew behind.
I'll find you, Alex.
end.
