Chapter 1 ~ Alone Here At A Party

                                                           {Charlie's POV}

          The clock struck midnight. I watched as everyone was in their own groups talking to each other and having a great time. Meanwhile I was alone. No one would have noticed if I disappeared honestly. They never cared about my opinion and dreams anyways.. They've always saw me as a failure like how my father sees me. I only attended because my mother wanted me too. Especially, since I haven't seen her in a while since her and my father have been busy ruling hell. What's worse is that I couldn't bring any of my friends from the hotel :( . (Both of my parents sent the invitation, but had "rules" and that was one of them. Ugh..) But, who would've I brought anyways?

         Vaggie and I realized we were better off friends,but her and I have been distant since that realization. Angel and I aren't that close and my parents would have been even more disappointed if I brought him along. Husk and I aren't close as well and he wouldn't even talk to me anyways. Nifty would go cleaning crazy over here and I don't know how my parents would feel about that either. I guess I could of brought Al, but I think my parents would of been mad that I brought the "Radio Demon" without their permission to the castle. But, I kinda wish he was here. I wouldn't be as lonely and maybe him and I aren't as close, but at least we have common interests to some extent. Suddenly I heard someone say really loud,

"The Overlords Have Arrived"

      "Wait WHAT?!?!?", I thought. I wasn't informed that we would have overlords attending as well. I was only informed "family friends" along with some other guests that are close to my father were coming. (Like Helsa's family..even though Helsa and I are "rivals")

       I wonder what my father is thinking especially since some of the overlords are trying to OVERTHROW him. But, I'm hoping that he invited the ones who are on his side. I also wonder if that is what he meant by "other guest"...."Wait. WAIT A MINUTE!!! Does this mean Al might be coming??" I thought to myself - slightly excited to see. I paid attention to the overlords who walk inside, but it was really hard to see since a lot of people were here, surprisingly. I saw some of them walking in - some looked familiar and some didn't. I couldn't see very well, but I got pushed aside - unintentionally I believe. I gave up trying to see and walked out the back exit of the castle. I followed the path which led to a dead field which was really small field, but had tall grass. I honestly start to break down right there and then. Gosh I feel so alone here...so isolated...
