Senior Year. Here Comes Boring.

It was the first day of senior year. South Hills High School was a great school. It had lots to offer and it was huge! There were at least 300 plus kids in my senior class alone.

That might not be a lot to some but for me, it was torture. Navigating the hallways were a nightmare.

I parked my 2013 blue Chevy Cruze and stepped out into the cold air. Standing by my car, I took a deep breath and started walking towards my first day of senior year.

The wind was nipping at my neck and tangling my hair. Walking into the front doors I glanced around looking for Ariana. I spotted her sitting at the same bench against the wall that we always sit at. She locked eyes with me and her face broke into a smile.

"Torrrriiii!" She half shouted across the hallway.

It was bustling with students of all grades even though the main floor was the senior hallway. Ariana was by my side at this point.

"Hey Ari."

"What do you have first period? I have English!" Her obvious groan making it sound like she hated English.

"Um... I have Government with Stiker." I loved government. It was the one class I took interest in. Ariana started walking away down the senior hallway and I naturally followed her. We were sharing a locker this year, as we did every year since the 9th grade.

When we arrived at our locker she pulled a lock from her backpack.

"We don't even need that. No one uses a lock anymore Ari." I stated simply

"Yes we do! This school is full of thieves and I am not leaving my possessions open for anyone to take. Plus I heard the notorious bad boy is back." She said.

Who the fuck is she talking about. I wondered inwardly obviously not being able to say the f word in front of Arianas virgin ears.

"Who?" I asked.

"Ya know..." Ariana looked as if she was trying to think of his name. "Andrew...Flem... or whatever."

Wait. What? Andrew was at school?? Why would he come back to school? He dropped out last year and as far as I knew he was into some hardcore shit.

"Have you seen him?" I asked this a bit too enthusiasticly thus earning me a curious look from Ari.

"Why do you care? He's bad news Tor. I haven't seen him yet but all I have heard since this morning is about how he's back. Some tiny freshmen were squealing over how sexy he is."

Hmmm. He was sexy. His black hair. Those creamy brown eyes. Tall. Lean. Smooth. He was flawless. Except for all the rumors which I'm sure all couldn't be true... I mean.. he didn't look like he did drugs. I knew he fought. Everyone knew he fought. He had the muscles and the scars to prove it. Sometimes you even saw him with a bruise or a black eye. Then there were the sex ring rumors, the gun smuggling rumors.. the list was endless. I only knew one thing for sure: I wanted him to drive me around really fast in his black Chevy Camaro. I wanted him to take me to a fight. I wanted a hit off his exquisite looking cigarette. I wanted to taste that freedom. That life. I wanted to be bad.

Government came and went without a hitch. Same old boring first day of school shit. My second and third period classes were also a breeze. School was easy for me. I was smart. I knew it. I paid attention. I did my homework. I got good grades.

Lunch time. The bell rang and students were scampering about trying to get out the door or down to the massive cafeteria. I decided since it was the first day that I would stay at school and eat. I met up with Ariana at our usual spot. We both sat at a corner table closest to the back wall. Ariana didn't like attention being drawn to her. I never really understood why. Ariana Woodbrey was my best friend. She was beautiful. She had legs for miles, standing at almost five foot ten. She had long curly blonde hair. It was shiny and looked like a golden waterfall. She wore glasses but the frame fit her flawless face perfectly. Ari had dimples and high cheek bones. She should have been a cheer leader or some preppy girl. She fit the part to a T. She even liked expensive name brand shit that was all pink and yellow. Just girly shit. Ariana was a good girl though. She didn't swear, she was never late to anything, and she got impressive grades. Most of the time she studied or she was doing extra credit. We never went to parties. We hardly ever did anything...
