The tale of the Phantom is nothing more than a fairytale. One that mothers tell their children to keep them in line. "You behave or the Phantom will drag out of the house in the middle of the night". Stories of the myth started to turn into rumors, sightings of the proclaimed Phantom. All of the tales of seeing them is different but one thing about them is always the same the person telling it is the only one to survive. If enough people believe in something is it real? Geralt seems to think not until a man stumbles into a tavern claiming that The Phantom had just saved his life.
