CHAPTER 1

JUNGKOOK have been facing a crisis for almost an hour. He stared at his laptop while fidgeting his chin.

"Would you like a cup of tea, Mr. Jeon?" Lisa offered, trying to lighten up her boss.

"Yes. Thank you." Jungkook nodded at her. Lisa left her boss to fetch him a refreshing tea.

Jungkook is hissing in annoyance from time to time whenever he stares back at the screen of his laptop.

He's staring at the ratings of his company which was getting lower and lower by the second. He's also close to ending one of his games in the play store to sacrifice for money and for income to open a new project.

But that seemed so impossible at the state of his company.

So he called his brother... Kim Taehyung.

"Hyung." Jungkook started as soon as his brother answered the call.

"What, Jk?" Taehyung's low voice echoed in his ear.

"Can you lend me some money?" He asked his brother.

"I was about to ask you the same thing." Taehyung chuckled on the other line.

Jungkook's brows furrowed, "Why?"

"My artists are signing out of my agency just because I couldn't give them proper promotions and shit. Including my employees." Taehyung answered.

The line went silent for a second. Both of their companies are in the verge of bankruptcy. Only one person left to ask for help.

"How about Jimin hyung?" Jungkook asked.

"I haven't asked him yet. Try calling him." Taehyung spat and ended the call before him.

Lisa arrived just in time and puts the cup of tea on his desk. Jungkook gave her a smile as the beauty smiled back at him.

"Lisa." Jungkook called before his secretary could even leave.

"Yes, Mr. Jeon?" She faced him.

"Y-You're not going to resign, right?" He asked for an assurance.

One of the reasons why he got his company dropped in ratings is because of his employees resigning too. And he's worried that Lisa might follow.

His first love and ultimate crush.

Lisa smiled at him, "Even if you want me to, I won't leave your company, Mr. Jeon."

Jungkook let out a sigh of relief before motioning the beauty to leave him alone.

He wanted to shout when Lisa left. He wanted to dance in joy or just simply sing at the short sweet answer of his secretary.

But he just clenched his fist, bit his lips, and held his chest with his free hand to compose himself. His office isn't even soundproof and his glass wall is full on display accross Lisa's table.

Everything can be seen.

So he cleared his throat and called Jimin. His other brother. But the line went busy. Jungkook's brows furrowed and decided to end the call.
