Rajiv Malhotra smirked at the man's lost face as he left the office. It was already known to him that he would win that project. However, that man had tried his best to bribe one of Rajiv's employees. Hadn't he known that Rajiv's employees were earnest?

After all, why would his employees crave money from others when they were provided with every luxury they could ever desire? Rajiv's company provided almost everything in support of its employees. To begin from their children's education to their hospital bills, besides the high range of their monthly payments. Apart from that, Rajiv would personally pay attention to their changing needs.

As Rajiv walked towards his car with his PA, their phones started buzzing all along the journey to their office building. Probably to congratulate him or offer him their next project, he guessed. The last one made him feel elated. He had done a lot to achieve the position where he was today, and he would do anything to keep it that way.

The car finally stopped. As they reached the private elevators, Rajiv could hear his employees cheering for him. He gave them a heartwarming smile as the elevator reached the ground floor. Rajiv entered along with his PA and as the elevator doors closed, a thought came to his mind. The one person who should be there to congratulate Rajiv on his success was not there! Rajiv's son, the great playboy, Jai Ansh Malhotra.

"Ask the receptionist not to inform Jai that I arrived," Rajiv asked Paul, his PA.

"Yes, Sir," Paul obeyed as he took out his phone to work.

Paul McKenzie was a twenty-seven-year-old gentleman and one of Rajiv's most sincere employees. During the four years of working for him, Paul never disappointed Rajiv. Out of gratitude towards Paul's mother, who is one of the company's senior employees, Rajiv gave this position to Paul and he never gave Rajiv a reason to regret hiring him. When the elevator reached the eighth floor, Paul informed Rajiv that the receptionist was not answering the phone.

Rajiv sighed heavily, already knowing the answer, and said, "Leave it, Paul."

"Yes, Sir."

They reached the twenty-sixth floor, where Rajiv's office was situated, only to find the receptionist's cabin empty. Instead of turning to the right to reach his office, Rajiv turned the other way to proceed toward Jai's office. After reaching the secured door with a board saying, 'Manager, Investor relations and special projects, Mr. Jai Malhotra,' Rajiv swiped his access card over the biometric machine.

Rajiv soon opened the door only to find two people in an intimate position. They were his playboy son, Jai, and the floor's receptionist, Parniti Sharma.

As Rajiv cleared his throat, Parniti jumped from the office table and bent her head down while adjusting her blouse. Whereas Jai adjusted his collar and swiped his hand over his hair.

Parniti mumbled a quick, "Sorry", and walked past Rajiv and Paul.

She stopped her walk when Rajiv called, "Ms. Sharma."

She took slow steps and stood away behind Rajiv and Paul, saying, "Yes, Mr. Malhotra?"

"You'll receive your salary for this month and I'll make sure that you'll also receive your dismissal letter along with it," Rajiv said and he heard a small gasp.

"Am I clear?" Rajiv asked.

"Y-yes, Sir," Parniti said, dejection clear in her voice.

Rajiv smirked at that and said, "You may leave now."

After Rajiv heard the sound of her clicking heels, he looked over his shoulder at Paul. He took that as a sign and left the room, leaving Rajiv and his son alone.
