Third Person's PoV
"Why are you here?
"Huwag kang mag-alala, kaya ko." she gave him an assuring look. "Napansin kong malalim ang iniisip mo. May problema ba?" tanong ulit nito.
He was always good at hiding and concealing everything even if it's hurting him. He would always compose himself to avoid people worrying about him. He was used of taking care of others more than his own.
She expected this kind of answer.
"Trabaho ba? Is my office stressing you out?" It's either work, her and Gabriella. But she's certain it wasn't her, bumubuti na naman ang kondisyon niya. Thanks to Gabriella.
"No. I'm actually enjoying my work. So, don't worry about the office tita." sagot niya tsaka umupo sa deck chair katabi ng wheel chair ng tita niya.
"Kung hindi ang trabaho..." she paused for a moment, trying to assess him carefully. "...is it Gabriella?"
Napatingin siya rito, trying to paint a good expression. He's been bothered for days now. Kahit pa man nakakausap niya halos araw-araw si Gabriella. No matter how much he dismisses it and assure his self that Gabriella can certainly take care of herself, it never left his mind.
Kaya heto siya ngayon, umiinom. Baka sakaling mawala itong nararamdaman niya. Kahit hindi naman siya kadalasan umiinom talaga.
"You're silent. It means my intuition is right." He took a sip and let the alcohol burn into his throat.
Hindi niya alam ang kanyang sasabihin. He wasn't used to telling what's inside of him to other people, except Gabriella. He wouldn't want her to get bothered as well.
"You know what Jeff, the first time you brought Gabriella here, hindi ko maintindihan ang ginawa mo." She paused. "Hindi mo siya kaano-ano, but you took care of her, you provided her of what was necessary even if forgetting your own. Then you took her to Germany and you helped her chase her dreams. I realized what that means..."
"...that was your expression of love. You love that girl back then, and you love her now."
Napayuko siya at bumuntong hininga. He wasn't good at hiding it after all. Akala niya walang makakaalam. Pero sinong niloloko niya? His actions towards her were made out of love. All of it, actually.
