---ABIGAIL---

The first two periods of the day passed slowly, as usual. By the time second was over, I felt like I'd be splitting everything I saw into fractions. I wanted to die. But as soon as I saw Johnny sitting in his seat in Mr. Lautner's English classroom, smiling at me, I forgot all about fractions. All I could do was think of him; the way his eyes lit up when he saw me, the deep dimples in his cheeks when he smiled... I couldn't stop thinking about him. And even though I knew that I shouldn't be feeling this way about my brother's best friend, I didn't care. I didn't freakin' care.

"Hey, Abby." Johnny said to me as I sat down in my seat, a couple rows over from his. "Have you had a good day so far?"

I shrugged and dug my notebook and a pencil out of my backpack, feeling a much unwanted blush sneak it's way onto my cheeks. Why did I blush over everything? "It's been okay, I guess. How about yours?" I said, quickly glancing over at him.

He was smiling at me, his arms crossed over his desk as he leaned forward in his seat. "Kinda Boring, honestly. But, uh... It's okay now." He said, a light pink blush appearing on his cheekbones, those adorable dimples of his becoming visible.

Realizing that he was basically complementing my presence, I smiled and blushed even redder. "Well, I'm glad."

It seemed that no matter what subject the class was, it could drag on until everyone's minds wanted to explode. This was the case in English. We talked about punctuation, and I was almost ready to die of boredom along with everyone else in the class. When the bell finally rang to go to lunch, everyone shot up from their seats and out the door, probably suffocating on an exclamation mark.

"Abby!" Johnny said, catching my elbow as I stepped out of the door into the hall, his fingers sending a chill up my arm. "Where are you off to so fast?"

I smiled teasingly at him and shrugged. "Nowhere."

He raised his eyebrows at me, his hand knocking against mine as we walked. "Where's nowhere?"

"Nowhere." I repeated, having no idea myself where I was headed. But it was fun to tease him nonetheless. "Why do you want to know?"

"Oh, I don't know." He said, obviously trying to hold back a smile. "I was going to ask you if you wanted to go somewhere with me, but... you said you're going nowhere, so..."

I looked at him, narrowing my eyebrows. "Where would we go?"

That broke his smile out. "Somewhere."

I grabbed his arm and pulled him to a stop with me, my heart jumping a little in my chest at touching him. I could feel the muscles in his arms under my fingers.

"Come on, Johnny." I wined quietly, taking a step closer to him, looking up at him with the best puppy dog look I could muster.

"No. Just come with me." He said, his smile changing to a teasing one. Oh, I hated it when he did this to me. "I promise you'll like it."

I groaned. "Johnny-"

"Come on, Abby. Have some faith in me." He said, gently running his fingers along my arm as he looked down into my eyes. "Come with me."

I could feel the blush before it even settled into my face. Oh, how I hated him right now. "Fine."

---JOHNNY---

Five Minutes Later...

"We have to drive there?" She said when we reached my car at the back of the students' parking lot. "How long will we be gone?"
