You were sitting aside Chan Oh Cheol and Yoon Yoo Rae since Dal Po was the only one allowed to investigate Gi Ha Myeong. You were still hoping to achief a sincerely apologies from him.
"Ya, seo y/n." Yoon Yoo Rae started while you were writing some keywords on a document on your laptop.
"Hmm. (Yeah.)" You reply whilst your fingers moved over the keyboard.
"Weren't you supposed to work with Choi Dal Po?" You stopped typing and looked at your screen. Chan Oh Cheol looked a little bit worried at you two and gave Yoon Yoo Rae a small push with his arm to make her shush.
"What? I'm allowed to ask that since we're sitting together." Yoon Yoo Rae pouted slightly. You look up at her and nod your head.
"I worked with him, thinking he would help me get my place back." You started typing more quick, "I worked with him because I liked him. I wanted to give up my own place for him." You continued.
"We even kissed!" You yell loudly as you slam on the table, causing people to look at you.
"Jinjjareo? (For real?)" She asked with big eyes.
"If I could turn back time and tell something to myself before it happened. I would tell myself to stay away from that nutjo-"
"SEO Y/N !" You hear a loud voice calling you. You stand up and turn around.
"Mweo! (What, informal)" you saw your capitain standing there at the door of his office. He made a gesture to come.
"Oh no, she's in trouble.." Chan Oh Cheol spoke worriedly.
You sigh and pack your things, followed by walking up to him.
"Before you will say something to me, I don't want to work with Dal Po anymore. I just want my old job back and I can't get that if you keep on giving him the good cases." You explain.
"My office." He replied, you sigh and walk inside.
Cap closed the door and sat down on his desk. "Seo Y/n."
"Hwang Gyo-Dong." You reply.
"I get that this frustrates you, however, may I know what has been going on with you."
"Choi. Dal. Po. That's what's going on. He's playing with me, Oppa. I'm sick of it."
He chuckled at your words. You two were pretty close with each other before you changed to a rookie because of your age. After that day, you were only allowed to talk formal.
"What did he do?"
"He kissed me, made me feel wanted and then walked off to that stupid Gi Ha Myeong guy. And why? That guy's dangerous. He was legit pushing Dal Po against the tree and said that Reporters are awfull. After that, Dal Po cried and walked off." You sighed and crossed your arms, earning big eyes from your capitain.
"They've met each other before?"
"Yes. After since, Dal Po isn't the same anymore. He's pushing everyone away and acts like he's oh-so-close with him." You make handgestures as annoyance was crawling up your body.
"Hmm, I see."
"Calm down first. I've got a request." Your cap spoke.
You bite down your lip and count to 10 whilst breathing in and out with your eyes closed.
When you were done, you opened your eyes and saw a small black box lying down infront of you.
"Talk to him about it. I'm sure he'll understand."
"Cap. I just cán't stand him right now."
"He made a mistake but so did you. You can't avoid and be mad at him while you don't know the real reason behind it." He explained, causing you to finally realize what he meant.
You look down, deeply sunken in thoughts as he pulled you out again by these following words, "Give this black box to Dal Po for me. Okay?"
You nod your head, "Ne- (yes-)" you stand up and take the black box that got placed infront of you as you walked out.
"Oh and Y/n." You turned around to face cap again.
"Don't worry to much, you will find a better case than this one." He spoke with a smile as you nodded your head again.
Why is Cap always like this?
Making me feel guilty with his words, tch.
You walk up to Dal Po which is wearing a pretty formal suit. His hair is also washed with shampoo and his face is smooth.
"Dal Po-ya." You speak, seeing him looking up. You hated the fact that you were doing the first step since he was the one leaving you, however, you descided to look at his perspective.
"Cap told me to give you this." You hand over the box and sigh. It felt like you didn't know him at all, like he changed into a complete stranger. You couldn't describe why or how but it didn't feel right.
He took the box only saying a small:"Thanks". You gently made fists as he looked away at his bag again.
Is that all?
You look up at his face and saw he was looking pretty seriously. You turn around and start walking off, being a little bit dissepointed.
"I'm going to meet my b- Gi Ha Myeong." Dal Po spoke, causing you to stand still.
"If.. you want to join me." He stated. You gently turn around and look up at him.
Yes. I would love to.
"It's your case."
"And we're supposed to be a team." You look away from him and sigh.
"Besides, There's something I need to make up."
You roll your eyes, "something?"
He chuckled softly as he took his backpack, putting it on his back. "Is that a yes?"
"Fine." You scoff as you started walking out, followed by Dal Po.
"Where are wé going?" You question while standing infront of the elevator.
"His fathers cremation site."
"Why?"
"To give him respect. Plus, there's a huge chance Gi Ha Myeong might be there." You gently press the button on the elevator and wait.
"What if he's not?"
You feel something being wrapped around your waist, followed by something leaning on your shoulder.
"Then we'll waitㅡ
ㅡtogether."
