US NEVER AFTER
I remember the time when I was yours and you were mine.
When we looked at the sky, our fingers intertwined.
We had this bond, this bond of love.
Together, we felt like we were in heaven above. We completed each other, yes we did.
Cracking jokes and acting so stupid,
was just another version of crazy us.
We were like the best ever, that was us.It all ended when you were going to be someone else's.
Someone I always despised, someone too possessive.
We never knew that we were already meant to be.
At least that's what our families wanted it to be.But then your father came along.
And told us the new truth where you belong.
To someone else, so far away.
And we just ended, oh that day.I still remember, oh yes I do.
When you didn't even mention that I love you too.
That we could be, that we could last.
I was so taken back, so aghast. You said you did try so hard to tell them.
But adamant as they were, they didn't just listen.
We were both so fragile yet so strong.
So in love, we played along. Now here we are, acting like strangers.
Like we never existed, oh we're such great actors.
You still look at me with a spark in your eyes.
Or is it still my heart, acting so wise. It's so true, love never lasts.
All does is breaks you apart.
And every night I always pray,
To God Almighty to make a way.For us to come together back again.
To heal our wounds, I know it's insane.
We're gone forever, you and I.
Now it's just you with a girl who you imply,
To hate so much because you say you've lost me.
You say you'll still miss the old cheerful me.
I'll never come back to my old self, oh I never will.
Until you heal me which you never will.So please come back and then don't go.
Please be mine again. That's all I want.
And our love to forever grow.
To be together again, I will always want.
