When Daren broke Cassidy’s heart the first time, She hated Rebecca. Here’s what happened:
Everything was going great. They were like the cutest couple ever. They didn’t hang out too much, but they hung out a lot. She’s clingy. She knows that and she admits it. But apparently that was a huge problem for Daren. I guess he didn’t like it. He didn’t like it enough to cheat on her with her best friend. Rebecca was at that time. Cassidy and Rebecca were together a ton. I wasn’t with them too much. Cassidy and I got in a fight not too long ago. So I didn’t know too much about everything that was going on. I hung out in a different group than Cassidy did.
Anyway, then came October 9th, (2013) It was over text. (Daren and Rebecca)
Daren: Hey, do you want to be my girlfriend?
Rebecca: Sure J
(well pretty much)
I cant begin to explain the pain that Cassidy went through. She didn’t even know.
It was the next morning when they broke up. They went outside. We were near the gym waiting for Cassidy to come out.
It was raining. I remember that. They were standing outside when they broke up. Daren had given Cassidy a promise ring. It was cute. I wondered why he never gave me one. Daren and I dated for a much longer time. But it wasn’t about me that day.
Cassidy gave him back the ring and came back inside. She was on the verge of tears. Then she lost it. She started sobbing. Then she heard one of our friends, Chloe say “You are such a Cheater”
I saw her look back and she cried even harder. She ran into the nearest bathroom and wouldn’t come out. The tears were flowing down faster than I had ever seen before. She was crying a lot.
Then the bell rang and she looked completely terrified.
We had history first. She was still crying. Our teacher, Mrs Haakenson, asked her if she needed to go to a councelers. I don’t know why she said yes.
Now here we are, a year later. Cassidy thought life couldn’t get any worse than that. But just having another girlfriend and kissing another girl are two very dfferent things.
Having another girlfriend is almost meaningless if youre an adult. You go on one date with another girl, so what? But in middle school, it’s a big deal.
But it’s a big deal when you have a girlfriend and you kiss someone else all the time. It doesn’t matter whether or not you’re over the age of eighteen. Because it still hurts. And there will be a part of you that always hurts from what I understand. You would have to ask Cassidy what it feels like. She’s more of an expert at explaining that feeling than I am.
