With a whirling buzz the Razorcrest landed, narrowly missing the dense jungle that surrounded the small clearing of land. Smoke poured out of the right wings engine leaving black smoke trails into the lilac sky. The Mandoloran groaned in frustration as he flipped multiple switches and leavers to turn the engines off. He watched the engines cool down before checking the screen on his control panel. With a small smack to its side the screen suddenly glowed blue, the image of a planet with small symbols of information listing in the corner appeared. No population, an untouched planet. Just as the lights flickered on they fizzled out. Puzzled, Mando fiddled with the control panel in hopes of fixing the short circuit, but nothing happened.

Mando leaned back on his chair with a huff, he wasn't so sure what to do. His train of thought was interrupted by the child. The milky black eyes of the small creature blinked up at Mando from the floor besides him. With gentle hands Mando lifted the child into his lap.
"You're quiet. I didn't hear you come up," he said softly. The child cooed back at him with an confusion filled expression.
"C'mon, let's go look."
With a short walk through the ship Mando was out on the jungle floor. The child watched from the ships opening as the Mandoloran inspected the wreck.

The thick, dense air made him breathe harder than usual and he could feel sweat starting to form on the back of his neck from the two suns glowing bright orange above him. The lush green around him chirped with bugs and bird like aliens, blue tinted fog danced though the air with no effort and the odd greenery had a neon vibrency to it. It was somewhat peaceful, but his surroundings wasn't as so pleasant as they seemed.

Mando heard soft rustling from the trees behind him and with quick reflexes closed the ships ramp with his remote control. He heard the child squeak in protest as the ramp fully closed.
He tiled his head in the direction of the noise as his hand ghosted over his blaster pistol. Silence.
Mando turned around taking a better look at his surroundings.
He cautiously watched as the fog swayed and swirled between the trees and into the clearing.
Slowly a large feline beast crawled out from the jungle. It's bright blue, sleek body shimmered in the sunlight, camouflaging with the fog perfectly. The alien looked at Mando with a hunger in it's eye. The tinted mist gave cover for the predetor to hunt. It circled the ship and Mando, playing with its pray like a child would with it's meal.
The Mandoloran withdrew his blaster slowly as not to startle whatever he sensed around him. A low hiss rippled though the air. He knew he was being hunted, what he didn't know was by what or who.

He shot his blaster blindly into the fog, the red Lazer illuminated the vapour before hitting a tree.
A few moments passed before he shot again. Whatever was stalking him was smart.
Out of the murky oybiss the alien pounced, knocking down the man with great force. The Beskar armour took the brunt of the hit yet his head felt dizzy from the impact. He saw the hunter in all its glory, a giant mass of smooth skin and soulless black eyes, 6 legs and a toothy snarl. Despite its hostility it was rather elegant. The creature let out a violent roar of dominance, it's dense spit flying allover the Mandoloran's helmet.
Mando struggled against its heavy grip but rushed to raise his blaster, firing it at the alien with startled accuracy. The blast grazed the skin of its neck with a sizzle making the creature roar once again. He steadied his aim from the floor and prepared to fire again as the creature raised one of its legs to deliver a deadly swipe.

"Don't shoot! Don't shoot!" A voice yelled from the jungle. A young woman ran out from the greenery with a disheveled look on her face. She yelled out again but this time in a language he did not understand. The creature roared at her this time, it's grip from the Mandoloran slipping as it stepped slowly to approach her. She yelled again with a hand outstretched. The Mandoloran hastily pulled himself from the ground and raised his blaster again, watching the woman with caution. He studied her, she had soft pink hair pulled back into a ponytail and light pink skin to match, bold blue eyes and was dressed in what looked like fighter pilot uniform.

The creature calmed slightly as she reached into the large bag slung over her shoulders. A large chunk of slimy meat was pulled out, the alien let out a interested growl and watched curiously. She spoke in the unknown language again and with a grunt threw the meat into the jungle. The feline let out a hiss before chasing the meat into the fog, picking up the chunk and walking away.

Mando watched the woman intensely, he was shocked. He lowered his blaster before speaking, "Thank you. What was that?"
She looked up at him from the opposite side of the clearing. The woman wiped her hands on the dark trousers she wore, ridding her hands of the meat residue.
"It's not safe here," she spoke, "you should leave." She ignored him.
Mando tilted his head at her response as he tucked his blaster away.
"I can't, my ship is broken." He explained.
She walked forwards, past the wet Mandoloran, and towards the old ship to inspect the damage. The heat from the over worked engine prickled her skin ever so slightly, more so than the harsh sun did. She had gotten used to the blazing heat by now. With the back of her hand she wiped away sweat that began to form above her brow.
"I can see that."
"My communictors are down, I can't a send a rescue beacon" Mando said, "can you help me?"

The woman looked over her shoulder to face him and shrugged. "I'm not the best with mechanics however I do know where to scavenge for replacement parts. But why should I help you, Mando?"
The Mandoloran stared blankly at her. She laughed and reached for the bag again, pulling out a rag from one of its side pockets.
"So mysterious," she teased as she thew the rag towards him, "you've convinced me. Clean yourself up."
She was rather light-hearted for someone who had just faced a dangerous beast.
He caught the rag with one hand and nodded in thanks. He began to wipe the beasts drool from his armour, he'd have to give the Beskar a proper polish later.
"On one condition, you take me far away from this planet." She bartered.
"You want to leave?" He questioned.
"As far as I'm aware I'm the only person living on this planet. I've been alone for far too long, I need my life back." He noticed the tinge of sadness that dripped from her tone.

Mando didn't understand what she was talking about but nodded in agreement to the bargain. 'She could be anyone', he thought, 'a lone survivor, the last of her kind, a prisoner?' Mando knew to keep his wits and stay alert around her, she may have agreed to help but betrayal had happened to him before.
She smiled gently at his small nod
"Who are you?" He asked.
"Call me (y/n)."
