This is the world map that most of the characters on this list will be on. For scale, the continent Binda is the size of India. This chapter basically will talk about the culture and places of the continents. Some continents are more developed than others, and therefore will have more information.
The name of the world is Xī Wàng
Nému
Population: Dense—Basic breakdown—
There are two sides to this continent. Civils, and Uncivils. Both have a deep, almost instinctual hate towards each other. Civils are all humanoids - excluding elves (see history), but the majority of the population (75%), are humans. Uncivils are only magic-wielding humanoids - excluding elves (see history) - and no humans are Uncivils. Uncivils show a hostile front to Civils, as civilian Civils shy away from them in fear. However, if it so happens to be a government worker that meets the Uncivil, the situation will escalate.—Geography—
This is the most secluded island. Both Civils and Uncivils can access the islands, as the waters are calm. The water closer to Chroe is unpredictable, giant eddies that can swallow ships, and extreme thunderstorms make it impossible to travel to Nému by air and water. The whole island is cloaked by strong, unpredictable two hundred mile per hour winds.—How it looks—
The majority of the continent is concrete or tile. Very few vegetation exists, as in the Civil territory, it is illegal to own plants of any type without a permit. The Uncivil territory is my favorite place, concept art for both territories are being worked on.—History—
The history is almost as complex as a real world, as this is the continent most used in this world. Due to this, only the key important parts shall be touched upon. About 1,000 years ago, all of the races lived in... relative peace... humans, fairies, elves, harpies, and so on.
Humans, however, felt inferior to the other races. That scared them. They felt weaker, and as if the other races would attack them without cause. There were occasional attacks, but these could all be explained. Much like how in the real world people always fear a shark attack at the beach when the chances are actually low. So, humans started to build concrete slabs, this was their way of feeling secure. None of them were in burial sites, or other such sentimental places. It was respectful, and while the other races were intimidated slightly, the concrete did not exceed three acres.
One incident escalated this situation. A harpy was wanting to talk to the humans about their concrete slabs, as they were getting awfully close to one of the largest burial sites. Naturally, the harpy walked onto the concrete to get there. She was weirded out by the texture, and how it felt. Unnatural, and cold in a warm forest. She backed away, and the humans saw this reaction. They had finally made a barrier to protect themselves! The problem was, the harpy got a little too close for their comfort. So they expanded.
Eventually, after the events kept repeating themselves with slight alterations, the humans were fighting the other races. About 200 years later, humans picked up a habit of calling the other races "Uncivils." This was because uncivils lived in the woods, slept on the dirt, and the omnivores and carnivores ate meat raw.
Fast forward another 200 years, humans took in some Uncivils as prisoners of war. They practically enslaved them in the process. After another 100, they became free, and civil rights movements and other such things happened. The war between Civils- which the human race deemed themselves- and Uncivils raged on, and on.
While the whole civil rights ordeal was going on, Civils realized that elves were the main threat to them. They acted as sort of the "generals" and "leaders" of the Uncivils. Elves were also stupidly powerful and extremely good magic users. So, the Civils worked on wiping out the elven race all together. After 50 years of intense battling, "all" elves have been killed. Civils didn't get all of them, obviously, and a middle-aged elf, and a young elf - both male - survived.
Currently, they are at what the real world would call a "ceasefire." There is still high tension, and negative interactions greatly outweigh the positive ones.
