Cyril gasped upon seeing the harpy's back in the pale moonlight. Her feathers were black, fading into matte purple, her legs were more shapely than he could've imagined. The figure loomed over a vast clearing majestically, before turning to face him. His heart began to race. She pierced him with her gaze, her eyes shimmering like pearls of the iris color.-I'll be damned if I ever saw a smile nearly as delightful as yours - he said with the remaining confidence he had.The harpy took a step forward with elegance and confidence. He was incredibly allured by her slender legs, as they moved through the grass while being hugged tightly by a pair of leather pants the harpy wore. She was covering her torso with her wings, which looked as if they were part of a gorgeous painting or perhaps the most outrageously expensive dress out there. Cyril started to get nervous as she approached closer and closer. It was rarely heard of for harpies to act so boldly. Perhaps it was because Kiriia said many good words about Cyril, or this harpy was unique.Once they were only a few feet away, the harpy spread her wings, taking another few steps forward and pushing her chest out. She was wearing a leather corset that made it impossible not to fall for the shape of her body. She chuckled devilishly when she saw that Cyril's nose was bleeding when he saw her in all her glory.-Human women are never as beautiful as us harpies, no? - She asked teasingly.-Can't even be compared - he replied in a dreamy voice as if he was mesmerized. The harpy chuckled once again.-I know your name, you don't have to introduce yourself. However, you still don't know mine. Where are my manners? The harpy bowed in a very gracious way, looking almost ideal while doing so.-My name's Neriia.-A pleasure to meet you - Cyril managed to squeeze out of himself despite being incredibly nervous around the gorgeous creature.-What's the matter, Cyril? Am I too beautiful for you?-...Yes.-Ah, that explains why you're so nervous - the harpy laughed - I've never met a human before.-Heh - he chuckled very nervously.-How about I let you breathe a little? You're as nervous as if a cougar was pinning you against a tree - she laughed.-I mean, I... - he tried to find his words.-Alright, I can see you clearly need it - she took a few steps back and turned her back on him after saying it.Cyril took a breath of relief.-Just don't go anywhere. I don't want you to run away as soon as we've met - she said, starting to clean her feathers with her beak despite the fact they were already perfectly clean. It wasn't unusual for harpies to do so.-I wouldn't dare.-Very good.An hour or so passed of Neriia letting Cyril stare at her shapely back and get accustomed to her presence before she turned around and spoke.-Today must've been very nervous for you, huh? Your breath was very short the entire time when I wasn't even looking. Tomorrow morning I'll bring you some herbs to help you relax around me. I wouldn't want your heart to explode, although I'd be flattered - she laughed. Harpies are known for being unmatched herbalists due to the ease with which they find herbs.-I'll be here tomorrow morning.-Good, good. Take care.If not for the fact that all the emotions wore him out, Cyril would probably be unable to sleep at night. After waking up, he wasn't sure whether all of it wasn't a dream, but eventually, he realized how lucky he was to have met Neriia. He went out into the clearing where he met her yesterday almost as soon as he woke up, dying of anticipation. After waiting a moment, he saw the most beautiful creature descending from the sky.-Missed me? - She said with a coy smile that made Cyril go pale.-You don't even know how much - he said with a shaky voice, and the harpy laughed.-Anyway, here, have this - she tossed Cyril a pack of dried up herbs - eat it all at once.Cyril did what she told him to, and he soon felt his head spin before taking a deep breath of relief.-It feels so good to finally be less nervous - he said with a relaxed smile.-I gave you the most powerful herbs I had. They'll probably give you a nasty headache later, but I suppose it's worth it, isn't it?-You're worth any suffering, Neriia.-Such confidence, I love it - She said, spreading her wings and walking closer, wrapping them in a wide arch around Cyril, so that they weren't touching him, but they covered most of his field of view.-You're way bolder than a normal harpy - he noticed, grinning widely at her. He probably never felt this happy in his life, due to the simple fact he could enjoy looking at her, and the herbs making him relaxed while doing so.-I know that, Cyril. I sometimes looked at humans in my spare time. And I must say, you're so much more charming than all the men I've seen.-Runs in the family - he chuckled, taking a step forward.Something glistened in Neriia's eye as if it was her hunter instincts. She eyed Cyril hungrily, in the same way that predator looks at their prey, especially once they know the prey can't escape. -Neriia.-Yes?-Do you like being showered in compliments? - Cyril asked.-I adore it.-That's good because it's hard to hold my tongue back when I see you. Painters spend their whole lives mastering their craft, yet none could ever produce anything that would match your beauty. Only nature itself is capable of making something like that. Where do I even start? Your talons are a constant reminder that, if you wanted to kill me, you could do so any moment, yet you choose not to. Moving up, your legs... How do I even go about describing them? The world's best sculptor would lose his mind trying to find such perfect proportions. How about the way you walk? The best dancers in the world take all their lives to achieve such grace. Your hips are beyond mesmerizing, and so is your waist. Your win- he complimented on and on, before being cut off.-Going straight from waist to wings? Are you not going to talk about my breasts?-I shouldn't.-Yes, you should and don't you argue with me - she looked him dead in the eyes, which convinced him immediately. Cyril talked on and on about Neriia's beauty, which seemed to appeal to her ego. Later on, they started talking about many other things, but never in a casual manner, oh no. Neriia made sure to keep things hot. Eventually, they had to part ways until the next day. When Cyril came home, he found himself ravenous and parched. He was too preoccupied with Neriia's presence to care about food or drink. As he walked into his pantry, he felt a sharp pain in his head - must've been the headache Nariia warned him about. He partially relieved it with strong herbs of his own, but it still hurt considerably. Still, it was more than worth it.The next day, Cyril went to the temple in the morning, instead of meeting Neriia. It was something they agreed upon beforehand. Cyril was religious and quite insistent on keeping up his routine temple visits. After everyone had listened out what the priestess had to say, and most of all prayed, the townsfolk headed to their homes. Cyril was going to meet Neriia, but Kiriia stopped him in his tracks. She was wearing robes, just like the last time we met.-Good morning, Cyril. -Kiriia! Good morning to you, too - he said, surprised at the sight of her.-How are things going between you and my sister? - She asked.-They couldn't be going better - he replied with a bright smile.-I'm glad to hear it. I was worried that her... Nature may make the two of you not get along.-We get along splendidly. Also, why did you contact me instead of her? - Cyril inquired.-She was always difficult. Way too much of an individualist. She didn't like my authority over her.-True, she's not traditional, but I can get over it. Say, how come you meet me right after my visit to the temple? Am I that easy to find?-For a harpy like me, you are easy to find - she chuckled - but actually, I pray at the temple too. I'm very religious. I just do it quietly, and out of sight.-I see.-Anyway, thank you, Cyril, for relieving me of my worries. Is there anything else you want to talk about?-No.-Goodbye it is, then.-Goodbye, Kiriia. When Cyril arrived at the clearing, Nariia was already there. He became nervous at the sight of her again, although a little less.-I still can't get over how beautiful you are, Nariia. I just can't wrap my head around it - he said.-That's a nice way of saying welcome. Catch - using her beak, she picked a packet of herbs out of a pocket in her leather pants, and tossed them to Cyril - was the headache bad yesterday?-Very - he caught the herbs and chewed them - but I have not the slightest doubt that it was worth it.-Good. I made them a little weaker this time, so it shouldn't be as bad. She said, walking up to him and wrapping her wings around him, just like yesterday, but tighter.-The pressure is on.-Isn't it? - She said with a wide grin, looking at him more hungrily than yesterday. She acted like a predator that was not only close to her prey but also about to pounce on it. She circled Cyril slowly.-How seductive - he whispered under his breath.-You are in great shape, Cyril. You're even more handsome when I watch you up close.-So are you, Nariia. Can I lay a hand on your beautiful skin? - He asked.-No, you may not - she said decisively - and not before I graze my feathers against yours first. I'm the predator, and you're my prey.-It's very exciting when you put it that way.-You like the comparison, I see. As a hunter, you ought to know what a predator does after eyeing its helpless pray for a long time.-Pounces.The very second that Cyril said that word, Nariia jumped at him, flapping her wings once. She knocked him over and didn't waste any time. The man felt a sharp pain around his lips. It was Nariia's beak digging into them. However, she didn't peck him for no reason, oh no. Cyril felt the harpy's long tongue trying to slide into his mouth most charmingly. He gave into the predator's will, kissing her back. His heart was beating just as quickly as the day they met, although he now had herbs to calm him down. While it felt heavenly, he also had to acknowledge the pain of her beak digging into his skin.-Nariia, why would you do that? - Cyril whispered. - You hurt me - he said, touching the bleeding wounds on his face.-It was out of passion. I wouldn't hurt you just to see you suffer, Cyril - she reassured him.-You could've opened your beak a little wider so I wouldn't have gotten injured.-Cyril, it is not for you to dictate what I do in the heat of passion - she said.-Please don't do it again.-I can't promise you that.-Please, I want you to promise. It hurt.-I'm a predator, Cyril. You can't tame me easily - she said, straightening her posture, starting to stand up.Cyril remained quiet as he stood up. Nariia made it sound like his well-being didn't mean that much to her.-Don't be mad - she smiled, gently rubbing her feathers against his cheek. It was so pleasant that he couldn't help but cheer up - would you look at that, it's already dark - she turned away from him and looked up at the sky.Cyril remained silent.-You must think I only enjoy your company when it's accompanied by a lot of heat. That's not the case - she said, laying down on the soft grass - come, lay down next to me.-Alright - he said calmly, not all that mad at her anymore, laying down next to her.Nariia rested her head on his chest, spreading her wings on the ground. Cyril slowly wrapped his arms around her, which she seemed to enjoy. They stared at the stars in silence, falling asleep in each other's embrace.
