Sazed had been in hiding for years. Taako was a dick but not a moron. At some point he had definitely figured it out. Every day Sazed hid, was anxiously waiting to be the target of Taako's magic missile.
When the apocalypse came, the story of Taako and his new- his real friends, saving countless worlds. Recovering items that could have easily destroyed everything. He cowered fearfully in his recent campsite while the Hunger, as it was recently named, wreaked havoc on the world around him.
Sazed watched as the Hunger died and the world regained its color. He felt himself reach for the hand of an invisible person. Taako.
All this time, Sazed had kept the bottle, the one that ruined his, and 41 more, lives.
As the world got rebuilt, Sazed trudged to the broken town of Glamour Springs. No more hiding. He told the mayor of town what really had happened.
Hands restrained behind his back, Sazed did the first good thing since before Sizzle it up with Taako.
Knowing his capture was broadcast to Taako, he was surprised when his first visitor wasn't him, but his twin sister.
"Sazed?" She had asked, an unreadable tone bordering on conflicted.
"That's my name. And you are?"
"Lup. Taako's sister."
"Oh yeah. From the story. Crazy stuff." Sazed sighed. "I can only assume you're here to kill me."
She looked him over. Behind bars and pitifully skinny for a former chef. His red hair matted and tangled and his eyes without focus. "Smart boy," she held up her wand with a cruel smile.
Sazed didn't flinch or move for cover. He deserved this, although he was disappointed Taako didn't do it himself. At least in hell he could get a fresh start.
The last thing he saw was a blinding light that burned him like a match.
Sazed opened his eyes to a new landscape. There was a large lake that's water looked black. The sky was dark and foreboding. It didn't take a genius to know this was the afterlife.
The space seemed so desolate for where all the souls go. Merle won't be happy that it's not Esylum. He thought as his eyes scanned the plane. Standing in front of him was a taller man. He had long black dreadlocks and a red and black suit. Sazed could only assume this was Kravitz, or death. Kravitz had his back to Sazed but spoke clearly.
"Hey Sazed," his cockney accent was strong and over exaggerated, "Allow me to introduce myself." He turned and his face was, pun intended, grim. "My name is Kravitz. Though I have many other monikers. Death, the Grimm Reaper," his eyes narrowed, "Taako's boyfriend"
Shiiiiiit
"I've got some people dying to see you." Kravitz chuckled. "See what I did there?"
Sazed didn't respond.
"Shut up I'm hilarious." Kravitz huffed and whistled. To the sound of the whistle, a large group of white souls appeared. Sazed didn't recognize all of them but it only took a few people he recognized in the crowd to realize how fucked he was.
Kravitz laughed at the terror forming on the ex-chefs face. "I see you've all been acquainted. Well we'll skip introductions then." He nodded to the prison.
"Have at him.""Hey Lup?" Taako asked while reading a letter. "Remember that guy who killed fourty people?"
Lup barely looked up, "Vaguely. Why?"
"He was found dead in his cell yesterday."
Lup took a sip of her coffee. "Huh. Weird."
