Colby Brock's Daughter Part 2

Chapter Three

My visit at the orphanage was amazing, but now I had to leave again, but Jayce didn't know that I wanted him, Jade, and Mason to come live with me in Cali. Nicole knew though. She was the only one besides me that knew. We were all sitting at the dinner table, it was the night before I left. Everyone seemed sad except for the couple kids I didn't know.
"Hey Nicole." I said. She made eye contact.
"If it's not too much trouble could I take my fourwheeler home?" I asked missing the feeling of the wind in my face.
"Of course dear, I don't know why you didn't take it the first time." She said and snickered.
"Well, I didn't think there would be anywhere to ride in Cali, but my Uncle said there was a track near where he lived, so I thought I'd take it home this time." I said.
"My dad got three uhauls to carry all three of them." I said.
"Uh, what?" Jayce said confused.
"Can I tell them!" I looked at Nicole. She gave me the ok.
"I want Mason, Jade, and you to come live with me in Cali!" I said.
"Really?!" Mason screamed.
"Yea really." I said.
"So who's taking custody of us?" Jayce wanted to know.
"I'm not sure yet, I'm going to try to get my other Uncle, Jake, to take you guys, we all live in the same house so we'll live together again!" I said.
"Wait, so we're gonna move in with some rich Cali boys?" Jade said and laughed. I nodded.
"We have to leave tomorrow morning though." I said. Jayce finished his plate.
"Yes, all four of you can be excused, Kensley, will you help Mason pack his bags?" Nicole asked.
"Sure, Mason, do you wanna eat or are you done?"
I asked Mason.
"I wanna finish eating." He said. I got up and we all put our plates away and headed for upstairs. I was in Mason's room packing his things. I zipped up the suitcase and as soon as it was closed I felt someone grab me from behind.
"You have no idea how much I've missed you being here." I heard Jayce's voice. I turned around and pulled him into a hug.
"And you have no idea how much I've cried over you since I left." We pulled away from each other.
"We need to finish packing everyone's bags." I said. I finished Mason's.
I walked into the guest room I was staying in and packed all my stuff into one suitcase. We all took our luggage to the living room and put it on the couch.
"I want to leave around 4 AM because the drive is around four hours long." I said.
"To save time I want to go ahead and put the luggage in the car." I said.
"I'll help." Jayce said. I grabbed my bag and Jade's bag and went outside to my car. I could only fit two suitcases in the trunk so I had to tie the rest to the top.
"Let's put a tarp so if it rains on the way home our stuff won't get wet." I said. We grabbed a blue tarp and put it over the luggage and strapped it on.
"Hey, I'm gonna go take a shower okay?" Jayce said.
"Okay, by the way, is it okay if I make a pallet on your floor and sleep in there again?" I asked.
"Why would you sleep on the floor?" He said.
"You can just sleep in the bed." He said and began walking to the house. I got in my car and moved it under the carport. I went inside.
"Kensley, start getting ready for bed, it's 7:23." Nicole said.
"Okay." I walked upstairs and noticed the blonde girl, who I assumed was Dya, peeking into the bathroom.
"You fucking pervert!" I said.
"What are you doing!" I yelled.
"Um, what the hell Dya!" I heard Jayce yell.
"Get away from the door!" I yelled and started running at her. I pushed her away and closed the door. She tried to swing at me but I just grabbed her fist.
"Nice try." I said and threw her arm back down to her side. She turned around and ran to my old room.
"What's going on?" Nicole appeared on the top step of the stairs.
"Dya's being a peeping Tom is what's going on." I said loud enough for her to hear me. The shower stopped.
"I'm going to bed, but you really need to talk to her about that." I said and went into Jayce's room. I pulled my phone out and got in the bed.
I got on Netflix and scrolled through the movies. Jayce walked in in just boxers, I covered my face.
"Jayce, put some shorts on or something!" I said and laughed.
"You act like you've never seen me in underwear before." He said and got in bed.
"Do you wanna watch a movie?" I asked.
"Sure." He said. We wound up watching two movies, the first one was "In the Tall Grass" and the second one was "The Terrifier". Jayce fell asleep half way through terrifier, but I couldn't help but admire the way his ginger hair framed his face, and how his orange freckles complimented his eyes.

I was originally just going to bringing Jayce back with Kensley but then I felt bad for the others and decided to bring all three of them.
