When we pulled into the trap house driveway, Jayce and Jade were cooing over how big the house was, while Mason sat in the back and kept his earbuds in.
"Alrighty guys, home sweet home. I need you guys to go straight up the stairs when we get in, okay? Take a left in the hallway, and go to the door at the end of it." I said.
"Aight." Jayce said. He got out of the car.
"Hey bud, do you want a piggyback ride inside?" Jayce asked Mason through the open car window. Mason nodded. Jayce opened the door and helped him out of his car seat, and before we knew it, he was on Jayce's back. I don't know why, but seeing Jayce play with kids is so damn attractive. He would be a damn good father. They all went inside and I went in last. I watched them all go upstairs and make the left turn into the hallway. Brennen was in the kitchen watching Aaron eat one of his nasty ass raw egg 'smoothies' that he eats every morning before he goes to the gym.
"Hey bitches!" I say and walk into the kitchen.
"Hey Ken's. Do you need help getting your shit out of your car?" Brennen asked.
"Naw, I got it. I'm going to wait a little while though." I said. "I'm gonna go up to my room." I say. I turn around without giving them a chance to answer. I walked into my room and Mason was checking out the bathroom, Jayce was checking out my gaming set up, and Jade was watching South Park on my TV.
"Kensley!" I heard Silas yell from downstairs.
"Silas!" I yelled and ran out the door. I heard Jayce mumble under his breath. I ignored him and went downstairs anyways. I ran downstairs to see Silas, and gave him a hug.
"Hey asshole." He said and snickered.
"Come upstairs, I wanna show you something." I whispered in his ear. We went up the stairs and walked in my room.
"What the fuck Kensely??" He said.
"Watch your language." Mason corrected him.
"Who are these people?" He asked.
"That's Mason, Jade, and Jayce." I said. Silas walked up to Jayce and pinned him against the wall.
"Give me a reason I shouldn't beat your ass right now for what you did to her." Silas threatened.
"Woah dude, chill." Jayce said.
"Silas! Stop!" I said and pulled him off.
"What the hell is going on?!" Brennen burst through my door.
"Uncle Brennen, I can explain." I said. "Just call my dad, he'll tell you everything." I said.
"Dude, you act like I fucking care, I just wanna know why you guys are screaming." He said and laughed at my cherry tomato red face.
"Oh, Silas was gonna kill Jayce." I said.
"Silas, don't kill Jayce, by the way, your dad wanted me to ask you if you and your friends wanted to go on a haunted trip with him, Sam, Corey, and Jake. I didn't know what he meant by 'friends', but I guess I do now." He explained.
"Uh, sure. Let me ask everybody first, do you know when my dad and uncle Sam are gonna be home?" I asked him.
"Soon hopefully. They ran into some trouble at an abandoned wearhouse." He said.
"Are they okay? I asked worried that something had happened, like when Elton went back to get his GoPro and he wound up getting a shotgun put to his head.
"Yea, just a run in with some cops, they should be home with the next hour." Brennen said.
"Okay, by the way, can you not tell anyone that these people are up here? My dad don't want people knowing until he figures out the custody arrangements." I told him.
"Yeah, it's not problem." He said and turned around.
"So, what do you guys wanna do?" I asked.
"Do you have Jenga?" Mason asked.
"No, I'm sorry. I can call my dad and see if he can pick it up on his way home." I said and pulled my phone out.
6 rings and then an unfirmiliar voice picked up the phone.
"The owner of this phone is unable to come to it at the time." He said.
"Um, I need to now if my dad is okay..." I said.
"He had been out in custody and can be brought back out on bail." Well shit.
"God damn it. What about my uncle?" I asked.
"Him too. Their bail amount is 6,000 each. You can come directly to the jail." He said. I hang up the phone.
"Fuck." I said and turned twords the wall. Without thinking my fist was swinging into the wall. There was a hole there now.
"Jayce, come with me. My dad got fucking arrested." I said. We walked down the stairs and walked into the kitchen.
"Who the hell is this?" Aaron asked.
"Uncle Brennen. I called my dad and a police officer answer, dad and uncle Sam need to be bailed out. So me and Jayce are gonna go." I said.
"Who had the bail money?" Brennen asked.
"I have some put back." I said as I turned around and headed twords the door. I stormed out to my car and threw all the luggage off and out of it. Me and Jayce said nothing during the 10 minute drive to the police station. I pulled up and a wave of rage came over me. Jayce got out and I followed. He opened the door for me and I walked inside. It smelled like Dollar tree eyeshadow, just the the therapists office when I was 13.
"Can I help you?" A woman asked from a from desk the looped all the way around her, with a door to the left back corner.
"Um, yes actually, I spoke on the phone with a police officer earlier, he said I could pick my dad and uncle up on bail?" I explained my situation.
"Yes, officer Chip is down that hallway, the last door on the left." She said. I stormed down the hallway and into the door without knocking.
"What the hell dad! I thought you had the land owners permission to be on that land. You yet again have been arrested for stupid shit. You're lucky they're gonna let you guys out on bail." I raged. I pulled my wallet out of my pocket and pulled out what I had out back for EMT training.
"12,000 on the dot officer." I said and threw the money down on the table.
"Thank you ma'am, I need you and your friend to sign this." The officer said and slid a paper over to me on his desk. We all signed it and soon enough, we were back in the car. I was driving, Jayce was in the passengers seat, and Sam and dad were in the back.
"I for real wanna know why the fuck you trespassed, AGAIN!" I demanded.
"Kensley, we needed a video, and we tried our best not to get caught." My dad spoke up.
"No, I don't wanna hear it. You shouldn't of been back there in the first place, yet here I am driving you home from JAIL, and the only reason I am driving you home from jail if because I used the money that I saved from MY hard work that I was saving for EMT training." I yelled.
"And you! I looked back into the rearview mirror and made eye contact with Sam.
"You're supposed to be the responsible one! You're supposed to tell him when something is a bad idea. You're supposed to save both of your asses from stupid bullshit like this!" I said and pulled up to a red light. I turned around.
"With how many times you guys have had to be in the same situation, but with me on the backseat, you'd think you'd know better than this! Joe you're introuble AND you don't have a video for this week!" I said and turned around and sped off past the green light.
"I hope you know that both of you owe me 6,000 dollars. Your bail was 12,000 buck.
12,000! And do you know how much those classes cost a pop? It's 3,000 A CLASS. I need 10 classes for it to go towards a collage scholarship. That's 30,000 fucking dollars dude." I said as the tires screeched as I turned onto our road.
