Leafy's POV: I can't believe this is happening. Things seemed to be fine with my love life, at least I thought it was. But my best friend Needle would keep telling me that I wasn't treated right, that my son wasn't treated. We sat outside the court room, "I don't think I want this Needle," Needle looked at my bruised face.
"You need to know that what Firey did to you was wrong Leafy. Burning your arm, and throwing a book at your face just because you accidentally dropped his plate of food near his foot was not what you deserved." Needle was probably right, I mean, she saw the whole thing happen when she came to visit us last week. I nodded my head and went back into the trial to finish the divorce.
Pin's POV: I was baby sitting Junior the day Leafy and Firey divorced. Me and Coiny both knew that their relationship was horribly toxic, from Firey not watching his own son, to manipulating Leafy into doing bad things to her, then the physical abuse of hitting her for the dumbest reasons. I was more than happy to watch Junior when Leafy told me that she was going to court to finally leave that horrible man.
"Auntie Pin, when is mom coming back?" Junior asked. I looked at him and saw the weak sparkle in his eyes.
"Don't you worry about that Junior, your mom is just doing something so you won't have to deal with your dad anymore." Junior gave me a smirk that slowly began to turn into a tearful face, it was hard to see him try to cry. I wanted to hug him, but didn't want to burn myself, but I remembered my tin foil sweater Leafy made me and quickly put it on to hug Junior. "Don't cry Junior." I said, my throat began to burn.
"I'm not sad Auntie." I was almost surprised, I looked at Junior's face which had a smile while his face was swelled up from his attempt to not cry. "I'm glad mom can get away from d- Firey, he never respected her or me, and he doesn't deserve someone as good as her." I smiled at him, for being so young it was shocking to hear that he understood the good things about divorces. Suddenly, a knock at my front door was heard, I went to open it and Leafy was there with a paper in her hands.
"I... I did it." She said, no upset look in her face, instead a proud face with pride. I smiled at her.
"I knew you could Leafy."
Note: This is a short chapter, mainly because I want to see if it seems interesting. If enough people like this I will write more.
