Me and Lucio walk hand in hand into the ballroom waving to all the guests as we walk past. I make sure to keep a smile plastered on my face even as we walk past lucios fan group as they start drooling just at the sight of him. My attention is drawn away as I feel lucio squeeze my hand reassuringly.
We finally make it to our seats where I let out a sigh of relieve."I hate it when they do that." I say to Lucio.
"When who do what, love." he asks briefly looking at me over the menu.
"When all those girls.. and guys, start drooling over you and don't even see that I'm literally right by your side."
"Don't worry it doesn't mean that anything's going to happen, let them look and enjoy the sight, cause that's all they're ever going to get." He says while chuckling to himself. He obviously enjoys the attention he gets, which is fine as long as he doesn't get carried away with it.
I look at the menu and start browsing through the dishes that will be served. It's not too long until I see someone standing in front of our table waiting for us to acknowledge them. I look up and notice it's a reporter from the town probably wanting to try to get a good story.
"Hi I'm the reporter for Vesuvia Daily News and I'd like to make an article about the hosts of this dinner party."
"Well isn't that lovely, feel free to ask me anything, ask away." Lucio says with a proud smile.
"Well first I'd like to ask a few questions about you personally. How's your new courtships going with y/n?" She says clearly avoiding eye contact with me.
"It's perfect I couldn't ask for a more beautiful lady by my side. I don't see why there would be any issues regarding that."
I watch as the lady writes it down as lucio speaks taking a few glances at me before speaking, "We'd like to also address the rumour that has been going around stating that the relationship is only for show and that it's odd that no one had seen you act like a couple in public?"
Lucio pauses looking slightly confused while he looks at me, "So it is true, you aren't actually together!?" The reporter says quickly writing notes into her book. "Would this have anything to do your trips that have been taking place. Is there someone else you've been seeing! How's y/n feel about you loosing interest?"
This is going too far now, there's no way I'm just going to sit here and take this. I stand up dragging Lucio up with me, making eye contact with the reporter and making sure people are looking our way. I tiptoe up to Lucio kissing him like there's no one in the room letting my hands find their way to his hair as I feel his arms grip around my waist. I pull away seeing a red face looking back at me, I give a cold stare to the reporter who's standing in shock, before I storm out of the hall and head to Lucios wing where I know no one will bother me.
It hasn't been long until I hear the door creak open and soft footsteps making their way around the bed. I uncover my eyes and see lucio sitting next to me. He's got a strange look on him, it looks like he's guilty of something. "What's wrong lucio, did something happen when I left?" I ask slipping my hand into his.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't know what to say back there, I should've defended you straight away but I-" His voice cracks as he looks straight ahead lost in thought, letting go of a shaky breath, "-I just didn't expect it. I'm so sorry y/n." For the first time he looks straight at me, holding eye contact as they tear up making his cold grey eyes shine even more.
Without a word I wrap my arms around him bringing him into a hug. I feel my shoulder dampen from his tears but he doesn't let me hear him cry. He always try's to be strong, he pretends nothing bothers him that nothing makes him cry. But he's human and deep, deep down he's just a big baby.
"It's ok lucio. Let's not let them get to us. They don't know anything about what's going on, only we do and that's all that matters." I say to him while trying to tell myself the same thing.I feel his head lift off my shoulder to face me as he's hand makes it's way to my cheek. He looks at my eyes and down to my lips silently breaking the distance between us. I kiss back just as tenderly placing my hand behind his neck as he pulls me onto his lap. As we kiss I can feel his warm tears that have fallen over his cheeks down to his lips, leaving our kiss to be bitter sweet. I let my other hand glide over his shirt searching for the buttons. As I find them lucio starts pulling apart the buttons as well until the shirt is tossed to the other side of the room.
For a moment I pause to feel the warmth his skin radiates, to feel the softness of it to my touch. "I'm glad you're enjoying the view love, cause it's all yours and you're mine." Lucio says with a hint of raspiness to his voice, before kicking off his trousers.
I pull back to see him with his usual smirk as I try to ignore the blush I feel coming onto my cheeks. I push him down onto the bed and climb over his legs cradling him. I start pulling my top off over my head and toss it somewhere in the room, I look down and noticed Lucio starting to turn pink. "Oh what's this... Someone's enjoying the view?" I ask teasingly.
I readjust myself to get more comfortable as I notice Lucio turning a deeper red. I was about to point it out and make a joke but that's when I felt the reason he's blushing. He pulls me back in for a kiss as he try's to undo my bra.
"Wait Lucio I think I hear-" right before I finish my sentence the door swings open. It's one of the servants from the party downstairs. They've completely stopped in their tracks staring wide eyed. Lucio stands up quickly shielding me behind him whilst grabbing a pillow to hold over his crotch. "I'm sorry but when did we stop knocking on doors in this palace!?" Lucio demands.
"I-I'm sorry Count Lucio, it won't happen again. I was sent to see what was keeping you from the event." The boy said clearly unsettled.
"Well I think you've seen more then enough to answer that question." There was a moment of silence before Lucio tilts his head to the door indicating for the servant to leave. With that the boy scurries out shutting the door behind him.
Once he was gone Lu turned around still holding the pillow. I try to hold it back but I could help but laugh at the sight and after a while Lucio joined in. "You know everyone's going to hear about this." I say between laughs.
"Yeah, I know. But the bright side is people won't think that we're faking it anymore." Lucio says while putting his arms around me giving me a peck on the lips.
"That's for sure."
