"Hurry up y/n we don't have all day." I hear Asra calling out from down stairs. I quickly tie up the laces on my shoes before heading down. Every Sunday we do a small stock up for the shop and I have to go with asra every time because if I don't he just ends up buying a bunch of tea and forgets about everything else.
I get to the front door which is being held open for me, "Sorry for making you wait." I say as I slip my hand into his.
"It's ok y/n I don't mind waiting as long as it's for you." He says squeezing my hand slightly. I smile looking up at him seeing Fausts' head poke out from behind his neck.
We walk in silence with nothing but the clicking of our heels on the stone ground and the sound of the city up ahead. As we near the markets, the crowds of people now seems daunting. I hold onto Asra's hand tighter as he leads the way, weaving through people, he's not even bothered at all.
"Ah here we are." Asra announces happily. I look over and see a stall selling teas and coffee.
"Asra, don't we already have some back at the shop?"
"Of course we do." He says making his way over. When I catch up to him he's already looking though the wide variety, each one with it's own different scents, "Y/n smell this one it's Rose hip tea!"
I take hold of the pouch and breathe it in, the combinations of different herbs take over as Asra stands there smiling at me, "It's good isn't it." He says more like a statement then a question.
"It smells so good!" I reply earning a laugh in return.
Asra takes the pouch and starts talking to the old lady behind the stall. I start gazing at the other's tempted to pick out some more but a familiar smell catches my attention. I look around to try to find where it's coming from. I walk around following my nose knowing I'm getting close. I round a corner and see what I'm looking for. Fresh bread. I run up to the stall looking for the freshest one, I pick it up and turn around expecting Asra to be there but he's not. He's not anywhere near me."Hey you! I hope you're expecting to pay for that!" The man shouts walking towards me. I quickly put the bread back and dodge the man trying to grab hold of me, I retrace my steps frantically scanning everyone I pass in hopes of seeing Asra's white hair in the crowds. I eventually find the tea stand but no Asra. I start to feel anxious and my hands start to sweat. I lost him and there's way too many people here to even move properly. I feel tears start to sting my eyes but I blink them back and I continue through the crowd.
I walk around pretending everything's fine and trying to not breakdown as I find a little ally way with a staircase. I sit down making myself comfortable trying to control my breathing. I'm not lost I'm just temporarily missing...
I feel tears start to roll down my face as I look out to everyone rushing past. I feel panic start to set in, how's he going to find me when I don't even know where I am anymore. I should've just stayed with him and looked through all the different teas. For a second I thought I saw Faust slither past but I must be imagining things, Asra's nowhere in sight. I wipe away any tears remaining and go up a few stairs to look over the bustling mess of people below me. I decided to make my way back to the tea stand and ask if the old lady saw which way he went.
I approach the stand about to speak when I see Faust darting at me from the lady's lap. "Friend! Found!" Faust says wrapping around my arm. I laugh looking up to the lady as she smiles and points down the road without saying a word. I turn around and start walking feeling a little better with Faust here. "So where is he Faust?" I ask myself not expecting an actual response but I feel her tightening her grip and lifting her head as if leading the way.
We eventually get to the middle of the town square where the fountain is and I see a very familiar face sitting on the edge. I approach Asra noticing his foot tapping the ground fast enough you'd think it'd leave a dent. "Asra?" I say standing in front of him, his head rises from his hands and looks up at me, "Y/N!!" Asra nearly shouts wrapping his arms around me bending backwards slightly lifting me off the ground, Faust quickly wraps around Asra, "Found!!" She says happily.
After a moment he sets me back down and I can see by the look in his eyes he's about to start a lecture. "Do you know how worried I was!? I turned around for a split second and then you're gone, Even Faust isn't that bad y/n." Asra pauses pressing two of his fingers on his forehead. "Next time I should just give you a bell so if we're separated it'll be easier to find you." He says letting out a small chuckle.
I can't help but smile at him and how concerned he gets over me. "Well I'll be more careful next time to not wonder off." I say sliding my hand gently into his. Asra brings our intwined hands up to his lips and kisses my hand looking at me though his curly white hair, "Let's finish up here and go home shall we." He says almost as a whisper, leading the way with his hand still holding onto mine and his other arm occupied with Faust who's gleefully helping to lead the way.
