The Big L Word

Part 2

It is currently 14 hours after we landed...and we are finally unpacked.

"Moms I'm going to go for a run!" I grab my hoodie and put on my vans. I put my ear buds in and head out the door and onto the sidewalk of my new town. Yes, it is my senior year and I already miss my old teachers and friends. The good thing to it is, I can now say I have moved across the country.

Three songs later, I am zoning out at this point. All I am doing at this point is moving my legs, barely doing that. I get such a rush from running, clears my mind from everything. I start to round a corner into a park and I slan into somebody. Well this is awkward...first day here and I am already on top of somebody. Once I get out of my thoughts I stand up and help her up, taking my earbuds out.

"I am so so so so sooooo sorry about that, are you-wow..." She gave me a weird look. "Sorry again, are you ok?" She rolled her eyes, and I tried not to laugh at how cute she looked trying not to smile back at me. "Hi, I'm Jordyn. I just moved here from Oklahoma."

"Yeah whatever, now can I go now? I'm kind of late for work already," she said already walking off.

Rule number one in the state of California, don't try to make conversation with people who are in a rush.

I ran for another good hour, then headed home for an apple and went to shower. I went to sleep as soon as I could since I start at my new school tomorrow.

Tomorrow is going to be interesting...
