Super short chapter ahead! Above is what I imagine Ryder to look like. Super gloomy and serious, but I couldn't find anything better! Enjoy.
"Um.. this is our seat."
My head snapped up to the perky voice. A girl with fluffy brown hair and light tan skin stared at me.
"Oh, um... well, there's tons more empty rooms down the hallway." I spoke.
Ryder raised an eyebrow. "Yeah."
The girl sneered, "well, the train room are the same as the dorm rooms in the school. And Dawns like you two wouldn't know that this is the closest room to the bathrooms and the windows." She looked Ryder and me up and down. "He," she pointed at Ryder and gave him a wink. "can stay."
"Well, you were too slow. Aurora and I already claimed this room." Ryder gave her a sly smile. "But I have a feeling you might be visiting a few times."
I felt a twang in my heart, but I ignored it.
The girl winked again, and walked away. Her three friends, one with black hair and green eyes, one with gray eyes and blonde hair, one with brown hair and brown eyes, followed behind.
"Does that mean we're sharing a room?" I groaned. "Nooo....."
Ryder laughed. "Oh thanks, Aurora!"
"Hey, maybe we should give each other nicknames." I leaned back, resting my head on my hand. "Like your name would be..." I opened my hand and waved it in the air dramatically. "The Ass Jackass."
Ryder grinned. "And yours would be," he mimicked the hand motion. "The Sour Bitch."
We burst into laughter.
Ryder stopped after a while. "No, but yours actually would be... like.. Aurora.... um... Rora? Azure?"
"Yours," I tapped Ryder's nose. "would be Ry."
"Hm." Ryder stared at me. "I like it."
I thought about it. "I like Azure, but Rora makes more sense."
"Okay, Rora." Ryder grinned down on me.
"Okay, Ry." I laughed. "Our names start with the same letter!"
A sudden loud bell ring shook Ry and I out of our conversation. The swarm of students raced past in the hallway. I slid the glass door open. The girl from before walked by.
Ry blocked her in the hallway. "It's time to go, right?"
The girl drew a finger an trailed it down the front of Ry's shirt. "Yep."
She stalked away. I handed Ry and I's luggage. We hopped off the train, the sudden coldness surprising me.
"Woah."
We were surrounded by huge, mighty trees that loomed over us by over a hundred feet. The vines swinging down from the tree lines and the leaves weaved down wood trunks. Animals hiding and rustling through the luscious, green undergrowth. Light illuminating the trees, weaving and peeking through the tiny spaces between the leaves.
The student group stood in awe.
THIS is where our school is?!
The girl from before broke away from the group, strutting down the hill and towards the hidden school a couple paces away.
The group slowly followed her. The grand doors of the school were golden, silver vines curled up around the sides of the doors. The girl Ry was flirting with knocked on the door.
With a loud creak, the doors opened. And either heaven or hell was here.
