Author's Note (A/N): Hi, I'm sorry for this late chapter. In return, this chapter is a slightly longer one. I hope you enjoy it.

It is now mid-day. The sun rose perfectly in the sky, highlighting the good weather. I can't wait to see my sister and I bet Kanao can't wait either. It's been a whole week. I wonder how she's doing. As a pillar, she must have been extremely busy in watching over her assigned area to protect innocent people from demons. On top of that, she works as a doctor and a nurse for wounded soldiers since she is a pharmaceutical expert in making antidotes for demon poison and treating wounds. During her free time, she taught me a lot of things too besides training. To help her relieve some pressure, when she's not around, I often help out in the estate so she doesn't have to balance too many things on her hands. Looking after patients should be the least she should care about since there are so many people doing that job so she can focus on her poisons and research into those cures.

It was around sunset when we finally saw the Butterfly Estate in the distance. We can hear chatter getting louder. The wounded must be doing their rehabilitation training. As we entered through the entrance to the estate, we were immediately greeted by the people in the estate - especially those who live there and ran up to us. "Welcome back (Y/n)-sama and Kanao-sama". I gave them a sweet smile and thanked them. Kanao was giving them her never-ending smile. "Come and sit down." They told us, dragging us in and we followed them to sit down. One of them poured some tea for us. The other brought us snacks like biscuits and fruits. "Wait here, we'll get Shinobu-sama, she'll be so happy to see you both," they told us before scurrying off. They're hard workers as usual.

It's been a while since the girls are gone. My mind just drifted off back the final selection to reflect on the event. Tanjiro-san was injured. I wonder if he made it back to his master safely yet as the night is now settling in. For some reason, he's the first person I think of excluding Kanao. Why is that? Is it because I care about him or is it because I don't think he's capable? But again, he does seem capable of becoming a demon slayer, judging the way I saw him during that selection. "Ara, ara," my sister's voice interrupted my thoughts. "Welcome back," she gave us a sincere smile, not one of those fake smiles that she always put up after our eldest sister's death. "I'm sorry that I wasn't there to greet you guys earlier," she continued and after a few conversations, Aoi and the three girls came in to tell us that dinner was ready. When night crept up, my sister made sure to check if Kanao and I suffered any injuries before letting us rest early.

Over the next 12 days, we did nothing but receive training from my sister. Of course, since we haven't gotten the actual nichirin swords that we will use to slay demons yet, we had to use the practice ones. We also helped out in the Butterfly Estate whenever we can. Our uniforms came so that came in handy because we never feel too hot or cold in them. I stroked my crow as I fed it some beans before I let it go on its own free will since it always comes back in the end. I never have to worry about it not returning.

The next morning, two masked men approached the estate carrying a bag and a sword asking for Kanao and I. After welcoming them in, they handed us our swords. "Go on," they encouraged, "take your sword out, I wonder what colour it will change into". Doing what I was told, I unsheathed the sword to analyze it. The colour was silver, an ordinary blade colour but after a little while, a light (favourite colour (F/C)) transitioned from the bottom of the blade to the very tip. The swordsmith nodded his head, pleased. "Do you like it?" He asked me. I gave him a nod in approval and a small smile before stepping outside to swing it a little bit. Not too long after, Shinobu onee-sama came to see our blade colour too. I mean like, who doesn't like hearing about somebody's blade colours because it is unique to that specific person and the colour may vary. After thanking our swordsmiths, we bid them goodbye and watched them leave.

I can finally accompany Shinobu onee-sama with Kanano during patrols and on expeditions in searching for suspicious demon activity and killing them to gain more experience after she appointed us both to be her tsuguko (successor). Originally, Shinobu onee-sama disapproved of me joining the Demon Corps but like her, I want to avenge our dead sister and I can't rest easy until all demons are dead. Shinobu onee-sama understands that boiling anger and determination, that's why she chose not to stop me because we wouldn't give that up. Also, becoming one of her successors means that I'll be closer to her and she'll be able to watch over me. We can watch over each other as well as gaining each other's skills. That's one of the things we have in common. Aside from all this, we do all go on separate missions as well if it is approved. This is the cycle of my daily activities that continued to replay over the next few weeks.
