Lost in memories (book one)

Chapter 2

Huoyan reached to his wooden hut, but he saw the door was wide open. That's weird, mom always have the door close, he thought, but he saw the other villagers acting weird, Did something happen when me and Kizu was getting water? Huyan enter into his house, and not a noise was made,he made his way through his house and into his parent's room. There is a curtain that covered up his parents' bed and the kitchen. His brother and he shares the same room, but it was located on the other side of the kitchen. Huoyan uncovered the curtain, he was shocked to have found his dead father's corpse on the bed. His blood was drained out from him and not a single blood was left. Huoyan rushed to his brother's bedroom, but he found nobody of his brother. He searched through the hut, making sure he his mother and brother were hiding. He ended up empty-handed. He walked out of his hut, and saw that many of the villagers kids either lost their mother or father.

"Hey!, Huoyan!," yelled someone and he turned around and saw Kizu running up to him, almost out of breath.
"Hmm?" Huoyan looked at him. Kizu panicked, trying to catch some breath. "According.."he gasped a little," to my father, a vamp intruded into this village and killed many villagers' parents," he told him still catching some breath, "But your mother and brother are safe. My father heard that the vamp are attacking the west of the village and he sent some trained men to fend off the vamp. I'm sorry that we couldn't protect your father."

Oh and my father needed you and I to come to his hut,"he added.
"OK," Huoyan replied as he followed Kizu towards his father's hut.
On the way there,they saw many families mourning for the death the vamps have caused. Huoyan saw a little girl, about 5 years old. He remembers she had lost her father when she was just about 2 and now he was sent to patrol the outside of the village. He was also attacked by the vamps and now her mother had been killed by the camp. He let out a soft sigh, She would have to grow up without her real parents and with a scar that might never heal. They passed through the west side of the village where the vamp attacked. Huoyan hopes that his mother and brother will be alright and he wondered why would the village leader call for him, Did I cause this to happen? He kept thinking about it as they reached the leader's hut. Kizu put his hand on Huoyan's shoulder, "There's nothing to worry about," Kizu smiled as they enter into the hut.
