It was a beautiful morning. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and I was sleeping in... Well I thought.

"Amber! Wake up! Or we'll be late for church!" Lauren yelled. (She's my dad's new girlfriend.)

"Ugh. Church." I groaned.

I slowly lifted myself out of my bed and over to my closet. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and slid open the door.
I quickly grabbed a coral coloured dress with cupped sleeves and flared at the bottom. I slipped it on and put on white flats with a zipper on the back. I then added my favorite golden locket that my mother gave me.

I walked out of my large room and down the hallway. I heard a dramatic wail coming from my older sister's room. "Amelia."my dad muttered, he seemed tired and frustrated, "You only need ONE dress!"

I tried to quietly sneak past, but it was too late. My dad caught sight of me out of the corner of his eye.

"Amber! Thank goodness!" my dad exclaimed, "I need your help. Meels, she well, you know..."

I sighed, " Fine dad, I'll 'help' Amelia with her 'END OF THE WORLD trouble'." My dad mouthed the words "Thank You" and I just groaned and pushed open my sister's door.

I squinted trying to get my eyes to adjust to the dimness of the room. Once they did, I noticed more in Amelia's room than I had before.

There were several Justin Bieber posters that read, "Bielieber" and more One Direction posters then I could count.

I noticed my sister across the room looking back and forth from two white dresses that I was pretty were the same. Amelia then groaned in frustration and threw the dresses onto the pile of other ones on her queen sized canopy bed.

I folded my arms and rolled my eyes at her. "Meels, it's just church, not Prom." I said.

Amelia froze and dropped the black floor-length gown she was holding, and then slowly turned around and fixed her cold, icy blue gaze on me. "Just church? JUST CHURCH!?" Amelia slightly yelled.

I winced at her reaction. Sometimes Amelia can be really scary when she gets mad or if someone questions her outfit.

Amelia's gaze softened and she unclenched her fists.

"Sorry." I whispered, rubbing my arm nervously.

"No... Um, I'm sorry..." Amelia said quietly. Her gaze quickly changed from loving to confident. "Since YOU think finding a dress is so easy, then YOU will find one for me!" She barked.

I tugged on my dark red curls, bracing myself for the next question I'm about to ask her, "What's so important about church today? You're NEVER interested in going."

Amelia clenched her fists again, but quickly unclenched them and silently counted to ten in her head while taking deep breaths.

Finally, Amelia said, "It's important because the hottest and second most popular guy in school is coming! Maliki!

"Yeah, so?" I sighed.

"So, he's coming, but he's coming for me! ME! And he said I was pretty! Can you believe that!? It's soo caaa-UTE!" Amelia gushed.

"Bleh. What do you even see in him? I heard he just plays girls and-" I stopped once I saw how red with anger her face was.

I stood there and gave her a slow, nervous laugh.

If anyone knew ANYTHING about Amelia, it was to not criticize her boy choices.
