part 5

I was internally freaking the fuck out but i stayed quiet because i could still hear the shuffling around us when we finally reached the room i whispered
"Uh sorry to disturb but what in the actual fuck is going on"
Everybody glanced at eachother i guess trying to decide whether to tell me or not when somebody finally spoke up
"We need to be quiet we'll tell you as soon as we are safe"
I turned round looking for charlie but i couldnt see her so i urgently whispered
"Where is she"
They just respond with
"Who"
I was close to bursting into tears so i wimpered
"Charlie... where is she"
They all gave each other a side glance
They all looked sad
when a curvy woman stepped forward and said in a low hum of a voice
"We dont know"
My vision started to blur as i began to cry
"We need to find her"
The curvy woman hugged me tight and stroked my hair until i calmed down
"We need to get to safety we cant go and find her if we do its puts us all in danger"
One boy stepped towards me and said
"I'll go find her with you but we need weapons"
Suddenly a slightly older lady rushed over and grabbed his arms
"No! Phoenix you cannot go i already lost your father im not losing you too"
He yanked himself out of her grip 
then rests his hand on her shoulder and says
"Trust me ma I'll be fine, I promise"

"Promise me you will come back"

"I will i love you ma"

"I love you too baby now i gave you this life so be careful and dont waste it"

"Goodbye ma"

"Goodbye son" she said with a tear in her eye

He walked out the door with me quietly after grabbing a few guns, some knives for close combat and alot of ammo
(Idk anything abt stuff like ammo lmao)

The sun had just began to rise casting an orange glow over the world and you could hear the zombies grunting and groaning around us which left a creepy feeling in my head but we kept going because we had to find her
We could not leave her behind and if she died then already i would be able to mourn
At the thought of the girl that saved my life dead, a tear ran down my face and i gave a little sniffle making phoenix look at me
"Hey hey, whats wrong?"
Hey looks like he really cares if im ok so i let my feelings out.
"I just... Charlie saved my life and now i dont know if shes even alive, i just dont know what to do."
I start crying more and phoenix pulls me into a hug which was full of love and his words calmed me
"I know how you feel, last week my father got bitten and because my mum loved him so much she couldnt shoot him, so he turned to me and told me to do it. I had to because i didnt want him turning into one of... them.
It hurts i know first-hand but we will find charlie i promise."
He looked at me with warm eyes and my vision blurred as i started tearing up.
I hugged him tightly then looked at him and said.
"We are going to be the best of friends."
He looked at me happily and said
"Hell yeah we are."

God that was probably terrible
