I woke up this morning to and enchanted scream. I ran downstairs. I saw my mom yelling at the bird bath. Yes literally a bird bath. I asked her what was wrong.

"Bong, the elders are angry again"

"oh so that's what your doing screaming at a bird bath...talking to the elders...of course"

"This is an important matter Bong." she gestured for me to come closer. Within the bird bath, yes, the bird bath, I saw a whirling pool of magick. Two colors red,and blue whirling against each other, almost fighting. Suddenly a face began to appear within the mist of the battle.

He wore Greek clothes, and was speaking a language I am not familiar with.  My mother sighed making a series of gestures with her hands. Then the man diapered.

"what was that about?"

"nothing of concern dear"

"you sure?"

"positive"

My mother has always been one to keep secrets. Never elaborating on what she really means, or what she's keeping from us. She's..an odd person.

I packed up my things and went to school. I sat next to my friend Darol. He's 16, gay, and ecstatic to talk to. Not really your average jo....or joey...or...you know what I mean.

"So Bong guess what?"

"what?"

"I discovered the best thing ever"

"oh" I laughed. "do go on"

He gave me a starling smile and a devilish look and whispered. "magick"

I began to uh....freak out at this point. It's not often someone says they discover magick, let alone the real kind. I asked him to meet me after school.

"so...why do I need to meet you here?"

"because..."

"because?"

"because this"

I created a purple star in my hand and spun it around I showed it to him.

"I have magick"

He was a bit freaked out to say the least.

"what?"

"ya?"

"I meant magic tricks! Are you telling me magick is real?!!?"

"ksuh" I mumbled to myself.

"huh?"

"nothing"

"right well that's kinda freaky...."

"your kind of freaky!"

"I didn't mean offensive"

"look darol I just revealed magick to an outsider something that could get me dead, you have to promise to keep this a secret..."

"ya no problem"

"okay good"

"ya ...good"

"okay I'm going to go home and your not going to speak a word right?"

"right..."

"right!"

"right..."

"okay good"
