Chapter two ... Another day

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. I quickly grabbed my phone turning the alarm off and laying back down onto my air mattress. I was sore and tired even though I slept wonderful last night i'm still tired as ever. Today I have to go shopping and order my bedding and other things. I look at my phone only to see it at 20%. How is that possible if i made sure it was charging before I went to sleep? I check the outlet that my charger was connected to and seen that it had been unplugged. "dad probably did that as a joke" i thought to myself
I got out of bed and folded my blankets and sheets and put them at the top of my closet. Took the air out of my mattress and folded it up and put it in my closet as well as my blankets. I grabbed all my hygiene products and made my way into the bathroom. I changed from my pajamas into a new outfit and put perfume on. I was ready to go as of now. I walked downstairs, first making sure i put my phone back on the charger and going to make me breakfast. I walked passed my dad in the kitchen seeing he had already started breakfast. " funny joke dad" i said remembering that my phone didn't charge last night. " what joke" he asked as he started putting the toast onto the plates. " you taking my phone off the charger" i answered
" I wasn't even home last night the neighbors across the way had invited me over for a beer i would have brung you to talk to there kids they had had friends over as well but you were out cold" he explained. " that's funny cause I put my phone on the charger before going to sleep" i said trying to remember if I did or not " you were probably really tired and forgot" he said. "yea probably" i said as i started to eat off my plate
We ate breakfast together and we made our way to the neighbors house he had went to last night. He knocked on the door one time and waited for someone to answer. moments later a brown skin female who looked 24 25 at the least had answered the door in a robe and her hair in a bun. she looked at my dad and smiled
" why hello there Mr. Ban-smith glad to see you back" the women said as she stepped aside letting us enter her residence. " this is my daughter India, India this is ms Onfroy the lady I told you about" he introduced us " what a beautiful daughter you have..your very beautiful India" she said as she held her hand out for me to shake. I took her hand giving it a firm shake and smiling. " thank you ms onfroy your very beautiful yourself" i complimented her back " how old are you sweet heart" she asked me as she dropped our hands " I'm 17" i responded "
My son's the same age as you him and his friends are downstairs if you wanna go down there and hang with people your age i promise there friendly" she said showing me to a door. " uh sure thank you" i said as i made my way down the steps. She closed the door and everything went quiet the boys had stopped talking and I stopped walking. " Ma i told you not to bothe- who are you?" a boy with short blond and black hair asked me " uh i'm the new neighbor right across from you guys your mom insisted that i come down here and be with people my age" I explained to him
He gave me a side look and motioned for me to go all the down the steps, And I did. I turn the corner seeing 6 other boys staring at me. It kind of made me uncomfortable but I still waved and said hi. " hi i'm India but you can all call me Ana i'm the new neighbor" I said shyly as i sat on a seat that didn't seem to be taken. " Hi India i'm Jahseh and these are my boys Stokeley, Richard, craig, tank head, jarad, and trunks" the guy with the blonde dreads introduced everyone as they said hi
" you can call me Robb tho" Richard said to me. " noted"
" stokes" stokeley said
" juice" jarad said as well
" noted as well" i said as I put my hands into my denim jeans and leaned back
" So What brings you to broward" jahseh asked. " it's a long story i kinda don't wanna talk about it today but some other time for sure" I promised " alright" they all said at the same time " How old are you" robb asked me " i'm 17" i answered " what month were you born" he asked again " October 14th" i answered again " oh so your a libra" he asked " yea" i answered once again " nice" everyone said at once
We all had a conversation they were all really unique and different in a way some of them felt off though like they're hiding something ive seen robb before..like in my old town but when i was little little I think he knows me as well.. he stares an awful lot.
" JAHSEH AND INDIA" I heard my father and ms Onfroy call out. We both run up the stairs to see what they needed. "yes?" we said at the same time " your gonna show her around the town" ms onfroy said " i'll do it tomorrow we chillin right now" he said as he tried to walk off " AHT tell yo friends they gotta go home your room is a filthy mess and i told you to clean that shit up yestarday morning" she said as she grabbed the belt " already a step ahead of you" stokes said as he exited the house so did the other boys.
" we should head home too" my dad said. " no non sense you guys are staying for dinner" she told us. " who doesn't like free food" I said as i took a seat on the couch. " you have a wonderful house by the way ms. onfroy" I complimented " You can call me cleo and thank you sweetheart" she said as she took a seat next to me" Jahseh had walked to his room that needed cleaning and my dad took a seat at the other couch. It was cool Until i started seeing things. I seen a tall dark figure walk in the backyard and peek thru the glass door looking directly at me. I stared back terrified as ever i couldn't move...i couldn't talk or breath..I was stuck just like yesterday everything went black i couldn't hear anyone talking to me i felt the taps but couldn't focus and everything was silent i was floating. I wasn't alone..Jahseh was there he looked directly at me in shock. " You need to get out of here" he told me looking at me with a flushed face of fear. " I can't i'm stuck here i don't even know how I go here in the first place" I explained to him
Everything came back to me. " Did you hear me?" ms. Cleo asked me
" Uh yea sorry my eyes got stuck I was focused on something" I lied as i got up " oh okay sweetheart where are you going?" she asked me "i'm going to help jah clean his room so we can go on a walk i'm kinda bored" I said as I stretched and made my way towards the stairs. "Jahseh" i called out "yup" he answered peeking his head thru his door " you want me to help you so you can go show me around town a bit and maybe grab sum snacks on our way my treat by the way" i asked him " never pass up free food" he said with a smile " alright" I said as i started to pick up his clothes that were spread across his bedroom floor.
After we had finished cleaning his room He had gotten dressed and we made our way outside on the porch. " you smoke" he asked me " rarely not all the time tho" I answered truthfully " Do you wanna smoke right now?" he asked me " Not gonna pass up free weed" I said as I Put my hands into my back pockets
