Chapter 4- Chloe’s POV
“Chloe, I’m so glad you are awake. What do you need?” He asked me, like he actually cared.
“Well, originally, I wanted to know when I can leave but now I have more questions.” I snapped, quickly.
“Ok, and they are?”
“Why did you leave me with her? Why are you all of a sudden here? And when did you actually care about me?” I quickly said, rudely.
“A, I needed to leave fast and I already had Clara in my hands. B, I am here for a doctors convention and when I heard you were here I ran to help you. And C, I have always cared but I was rarely able to spend time with you.” He said, taking time to talk. “And you can leave whenever you want. Here, if you need me this is the hotel I’m staying at. Come over whenever.” He handed me a paper and a key. I read it. ‘James Hotel and Apartments, 21 James Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, room 39C.
I ran out of the hospital after grabbing Paige, Brooke, and Nia, the only girls who know about what happens at my house. They kept on swarming me with questions and asking me if I was alright. I ran in front of them, and we walked to our near by school. I turned the corner and moved my head and sure enough Josh was following. “Chloe! CHLOE! We need to talk.” He repeatedly screamed toward me.
“No we don’t, because I know what you are going to say, and I don’t want to hear your pity.”
“Chloe, no, it’s something else.” He said, suprisingly calm. I looked at the girls and they gave me a face showing me to listen.
“Ok, what do you want?”
“While you were out, the doctors ran some tests on you because you kept passing out after waking up for 2 seconds,” He said, worryingly.
“And…”
“They just got the results,,”He said, almost shocked, “You have cancer.”
