Anten was sitting in his dorm room known as A-35, one room down from Pidge in A-34. He was still in his uniform as he sat behind his desk. His fingers tapping away at a holographic keyboard, his eyes on a thin screen in front of him.He was designing a new Altean-based Probe, as his parents prior to their disappearances had shared with him. It was likely his mother left the world, and his father went into hiding.
The idea of them both leaving Earth was rather strange. At the same time, he didn't necessarily view them as parents, but more as teachers. He still had the parents of his previous life fresh in his mind.
This rebirth, it was like moving out and growing into a new home.
His eyes shifted towards the door of the dorm, an announcement came from Commander Iverson. Lights were to be out in five minutes and everyone was to return to their rooms.
A small chuckle left his lips hearing this and he shook his head. The boy's eyes then moved over towards the Altean Datapad that was on his bed. Remotely uploading his designs onto the pad, as well as some programs which he had developed, he would shut down his computer.
If he was remembering the sequences of events correctly, this was the night that Shiro came back home.
Raising from his chair, he walked over to the pad before attaching it to his uniform belt. He preferred wearing the uniform, rather than using plain civilian clothes most of the time. It was a sense of pride, he could only assume.Going over to his closet he pulled out a white and orange cropped jacket, that matched his uniform, and pulled it over her shoulders.
It didn't take long for Anten to hear the crashing of someone in the hallway, not too far away. A brow raised, as he figured that it just might be Hunk and Lance fooling around, and he wasn't wrong.
As he went over to the door of his room, it slid open, just in time for Pidge to freeze right in front of him. "Anten!?" She shrieked mutedly, looking both ways before narrowing her eyes on him, "Aren't you supposed to be with lights out?" Pidge feigned a scowl.
The hybrid creased his own brows slightly, his eyes looking over her civilian outfit. As he peered over her head, his eyes rested on Lance and Hunk peering around the corner. "Huh..." Resting his eyes back on Pidge, "Listening for aliens... Again?" Anten whispered back just as quietly.
Pidge blinked in surprise, "How do you know about that," she reached forward grabbing onto his wrist, as she then narrowed her eyes on the piece of tech attached to his belt. "That's not Garrison Tech."
Anten flipped open the back of her pack, "Neither is this," he teased.
Pidge pursed her lips before tugging him along, letting his door close behind him as she lead him to her preferred spot outside. Along the way, the two were able to avoid the hall monitors and other senior members of the Galaxy Garrison.
Anten still found it quite silly that they named themselves the Galaxy Garrison when they had hardly even reached the outskirts of their solar system. Once they did reach the outside and arrived at her perch, she let go of his wrist and took a step back from him. "How much do you know about the alien chatter?"
The human-alien hybrid watched as she started unpacking her equipment and setting it up.
"That depends, how much do you know about Voltron?" He raised a brow at the girl who immediately looked over at him with eyes wide. She could only assume that he knew as much as she did, if not more. With her things all hooked up together and powered, she put her headset over one ear. "Voltron is some sort of weapon, a big one. They're searching for it..."
Anten squatted slightly, glancing over his shoulder as she was getting sucked into listening in on the chatter from the edge of the solar system. He knew that the chatter about Voltron was getting worse, and that there was an alien craft on its way.
