(No Ladybug or Chat Noir)
You see, it all started wrong. She wasn't supposed to find out about her past life. But it all started one faithful day.
It all started the day Marinette convinced herself to tell Adrien that she liked him. She had come in her favorite pink shirt and black skirt. She was completely confident. That was until she got there.
Marinette didn't know what was going on. She was going to ask Alya what was going on.
Marinette had expected to see Alya waiting for her by the steps in front of the school but she wasn't there. She must be inside already, Marinette thought. She was correct.
She walked to the classroom to see a her classmates, the people she had known most of her life, with angry faces.
Alya was sitting in her seat and Marinette quickly sat beside her. "Why are they looking at me angrily?" Marinette asked. Alya ignored her. "Alya?" Marinette asked. Alya continues to ignore.
"Alya, what did I do wrong? Why are you so upset with me?" Marinette asked. That had hit Alya' nerve. "What did you do wrong?! How about talk about us behind our backs and make fun of us! The fact that you hurt Lila and are going to act innocent!" Alya yelled.
"What do you mean hurt Lila and talk behind your back? I would never do that!" Marinette argued back.
"Bullshit!" Alix called. "I would never. You guys are all my friends. I would never," Marinette argued.
"That's crap. We heard the video and Lila told us how you pushed her to the ground and sprained her wrist," Kim yelled. "I would never!" Marinette said.
"We know how much you hate Lila. I'm not surprised that you would finally do it," Ivan said. "I would ne-" Marinette got slapped in the face by Alya.
"You are such a freaking liar. Get out of my face! I can't believe I used to call you my best friend," Alya said.
Tears filled Marinette's eyes. "I thought you were friend. Adrien?" she looked at him pleadingly.
"You ruined it Marinette. Lila had proof. I can't believe you would say that," Adrien said. Marinette couldn't hold it in anymore. She ran out of the room, bumping into a certain liar outside the classroom.
"I knew you hated me but you went to far," she sobbed, running outside back into the bakery.
She ran past her parents' frantic calls and quickly ran to her room, sobbing like crazy. It was about an hour later when she heard a knock on the trapdoor called her out from her sobbing.
"Come in," she mumbled. Luckily the voice heard her mumble and opened to reveal a face she didn't want to see.
"Chloe? What are you doing here?" Marinette asked, rubbing her eyes. "I know that Lila was lying and I don't believe her either. I may not like you, but I know you would never do anything she said," Chloe said, said rubbing the girl's back.
"Thanks, Chloe," she said, hugging the girl. Chloe was surprised. She wasn't used to this type of contact. At least, not for a while. She hugged back.
Marinette pulled away. "So...Friends?" Chloe asked. "Friends," Marinette said. She felt a little better. She didn't expect to be completely happy though. She just lost most of her friends due to a lie that came from someone who absolutely hated her guts.
At least she could still talk to Kagami. She had met up Chloe by the Seine River, where they ran into her. Of course, Kagami was surprised to see them together because she remembered Marinette telling that she didn't like Chloe.
