#016 | SELECTIVE KILLER Aki works independently as a rule; he'll never do what he did when he was younger again, which was working for someone else. He doesn't ever want to be someone else's pawn again. Now that he's earning enough money from working independently, Aki picks and chooses his jobs, and if he feels some sympathy for the person he's asked to kill under whatever circumstance, he won't take the job. Being a killer does not mean he doesn't have morals.
#017 | COLD Aki, when you meet him normally, is actually fairly nice and perhaps even helpful. However, when he's doing his job, he shuts out all of his emotions. It's not something he can do any other time or that he even does completely on purpose, even though there is some degree of conscious effort. It helps to keep him from accumulating more and more trauma from what he has to do all the time— or, at least, it helps him to ignore it.
#018 | WEAPONS Aki is capable of using a lot of different weapons. His weapon of choice is usually a knife since it's quiet, but if he knows or suspects that there will be confrontation, he will bring at least a handgun with him just in case. At times, he has also had to break into guarded places and when he does this, he usually brings a rifle along. He prefers to sneak in, get the job done quietly, and then leave, but if something were to go wrong, he has to have a feasible way to defend himself. He also typically brings a rifle or at least a handgun if he's going to be away for a few days in case he finds himself cornered by the people who are after him.
#019 | FIGHT OR FLIGHT Speaking of Aki's response to confrontation, he prefers to flee threatening situations if he didn't start them. He doesn't like killing or hurting people at all. However, if someone threatens someone he loves, that's different; he'll almost certainly fight them in that instance.
#020 | BANDS Aki is a fan of a lot of hard rock and metal bands. Some of these include System of a Down, Avenged Sevenfold, Green Day, Hinder, Theory of a Deadman, Bring Me The Horizon, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, and Fall Out Boy. Outside of those specific genres, he also likes Imagine Dragons, Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty and All Time Low.
#021 | PHASE Like people usually do, Aki had a phase of his life when he was younger that sincerely embarrasses him now. For him, this was an androgynous phase when he was a teen trying to figure himself out. When he was going through this phase, a lot of the people he was around made fun of him for it. This would've been the first point in Aki's life he was called homophobic slurs, as well, and in general he just feels that he was cringey and didn't serve the vibe very well now. If he had someone to tell him it really wasn't bad, he might would feel a little better about it, honestly.
#022 | SCARS Aki has a vast, unwanted collection of scars on his body. His shoulders, upper arms and part of his lower arms are covered in scars from self-harm, mostly cutting. Thankfully, most of them aren't super new as he is mostly recovered from self-harm, but he does occasionally relapse still. He also has stripes on his back, both from being beaten with various objects by his father and from being whipped by the man that he used to kill for out of punishment for doing pretty much anything he didn't like. He has various bullet wound scars too, and he still has some bullets under his skin that he left alone because it would've done much more damage to take them out. Lastly, he has plenty of scars on his hips, lower back, waist, and thighs from fighting being sexually abused by his father.
#023 | WEIGHT Though Aki isn't practically starved like he was several years ago, he's still underweight, especially considering that he's fairly muscled and toned and yet is only 145-150 pounds at 6 ft 1 inch tall. Part of this is just genetics; he's got a fast metabolism. However, he also still hasn't fully gained his appetite back even now after going without much for so long. In addition to that, weighing any more than he does right now makes him feel insecure even if would be healthier because he is just so used to being slim and seeing himself that way.
#024 | MUSCLE MASS Aki has toned lower legs, thighs and abs. He even has a light six-pack, and it would probably be more prominent than it is already if he were a healthy weight. He's got fairly muscled arms, though they're still fairly thin. He can easily lift the weight of other people, which is convenient and often necessary in his line of work, but it's also convenient in relationships because he can pick his partner up whenever they want.
#025 | INEBRIATED It's not uncommon for Aki to enjoy a drink— or 15. It takes a lot to get him drunk as his tolerance is quite high at this point. People often have no idea he has alcohol in his system. He has a tendency to drink some whenever he gets nervous or anxious to calm himself. He's normally got at least a little alcohol in him every time he goes out on a job because it calms his nerves and therefore steadies his hands; his hands shake when he's particularly stressed or anxious. If he expects he will have to shoot anyone at range, he normally has at least a full bottle of whiskey in him to calm himself so he'll have a steadier aim.
#026 | BLAZE IT In addition to his reliance on alcohol, Aki also smokes marijuana sometimes. He doesn't do it as often, especially since he's started trying to quit smoking in general, but sometimes he still smokes some weed if he's very, very stressed out as it also has a calming effect on him. He'd try edibles or something instead, but he is terrible at both cooking and baking.
#027 | BAD HABITS As just mentioned, Aki used to smoke cigarettes regularly but has recently been trying to quit. He's doing fairly well so far, but of course, relapse is part of recovery and he does occasionally smoke them still. This started as an indirect method of slowly committing suicide. He knew the effects of cigarettes when he started them and that's why he did start them; he wanted to die young. However, since he's met his half-brother and half-sister, he's found purpose and started trying to quit thanks to them, he no longer yearning to die young quite so much.
#028 | GUITAR Aki really wants to learn the guitar, though he doesn't advertise that fact much— specifically the electric guitar, but he doesn't know how he would possibly get started.
#029 | ART Aki's secretly pretty talented at sketching and drawing. However, more notable is that he really enjoys carving little things out of wood. He's made a few recently that Sam painted after as a sort of collaborative effort and they're his favorite ones.
#030 | TATTOOS Aki has a lot of tattoos, and many of them are stick-and-pokes he did himself, but most of them are really good, and he's covered the ones that weren't. He has a few that he did with himself with a proper tattoo pen, too. They're also pretty dang good.
