Bill's point of view
Beverly's aunt seems pretty great. I am happy that Bev is finally happy at home now. She is a great person.
Today, I and the losers are going to swim at the quarries. Tomorrow, we are going to start school, so this is our last day alive.
I got ready and I ate breakfast. I told my
parents that I was going out with my friends
I am glad that they didn't ask where I was going because they don't have to know that I basically jump off the cliff to swim.
I meet with the losers and Bev. We hugged each other and we jumped.
We have so much fun together.
Beverly took my hand and walked with me in the forest. I kissed her. She started to cry. I got scared. I have never seen her this sad before.
" Bev? What happened?" I asked her.
" We are going to leave. My aunt and I." she said through tears.
" Bev, why?"
" This town is too dangerous."
My world collapsed. She is my happiness.
I love her so much. She can't leave me.
I took my bike and I ran away. I arrived at home and I ran into my room. All of my stuff we're already packed.
I went to my mother.
" Mom, why are my stuff packed?"
" We are moving from Derry. We are going.to start a new life, Billy."
" Where?"
" Chicago, your dad thinks that it's better for us."
" Okay." I said as tears were streaming down my cheeks.
" You will see, your life will be better."
"Mom, Bev is moving to Portland. I miss her already."
" I know how it is honey, but you will write to each other every week."
"Yeah"
