First Years

Prologue

Jack's POV(point of view)

   I walked in front of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria with high hopes. I had applied for the night guard job for this place not too long ago. Even though this job doesn't pay well I had to get one so my family would get off my back. It has been hard since one of my younger sisters disappeared a couple months back but I just kept pressing on. She used to work at an establishment similar to this which was part of the reason I got the job. I guessed it wouldn't be too hard anyway, I mean who would ever break into a place for kids. When I opened the doors the smell of old pizza and smelly feet flooded my nostrils. I almost lost my lunch but tried to keep it together, I didn't want to have a bad first impression. As I made my way past the sea of screaming kids I noticed the four things that made this place so "special". The animatronics. I couldn't remember their names mostly because I didn't care but they just seemed so creepy. Why would anyone have kids around those things. I noticed myself staring at the the purple one. I don't know why I was compelled to look at this purple bunny robot but it just seemed intriguing. The bunny turned his head to look at me and I felt my face get hot. I quickly turned around and continued walking towards the boss' office. I sighed in relief as I made it out of the animatronic's view. I stopped and thought about what had happened. I face-palmed and told myself to get it together. I knocked on the office door and it quickly flew up. I was greeted by a tall man in a purple suit. "May I help you?" he asked. I blinked still processing the whole door thing and shook my head. "Uh yeah I'm here for the night guard job." I said trying to sound professional "I applied for it just the other day and I was called in for an interview.". The tall man was quiet for a second and then grinned. "Ah come in, come in I've been expecting you." I shuddered at that last part it just sounded creepy coming from him. He pulled out a chair and motioned for me to sit. As I sat down he walked to the other side and sat in his black swivel chair. He stared into my eyes intensely for what seemed like hours. (Author: It was like five seconds calm down.)I sat uncomfortably in my chair waiting for this awkward silence to end. He pulled out a file from under the table and looked at that for a few minutes. I just looked around the room just wondering what he might say. This was a mistake because it just made me even more nervous. "So, Jack is it?" he spoke. I nodded vigorously like a child who was pretending to listen to what their parents were saying. He grinned but it quickly faded as he continued looking at the file. "So it says here that you've never worked as a night guard before." he gave me a questioning look. "Oh yeah this would be my first time but I'm very attentive and watchful!" I tried to at least sound smart but the man seemed unphased. "Do you have any security experience?" he asked. I shook my head no. He frowned but it quickly turned into a big smile. "Well then I guess I'll have to teach you everything I know about watching this place!" he boasted. I blinked "What!?". "Welcome to the Fazbear family Mr. Jackal!". 

(Author: I almost forgot to mention Jack's full name is Jack Jackal)

   "You mean I got the job!" I said trying not to scream. "Yup, but of course I'll have to monitor you for the first hour of the night just so you get the hang of things." I almost died I was so excited. "Well thank you very much for coming but I'm afraid this is all the time I have for today." he said as he motioned me towards the door "I look forward to seeing you tonight Mr. Jackal.". I nodded, shook his hand and walked towards the door, but before I left I realized I forgot to ask his name. "I never caught your name" I said quietly as I turned around. "Its William Afton." he replied with a wide ear to ear smile on his face. It sent shivers down my spine but I ignored it. "Well see you tonight Mr. Afton" I waved. He just continued to grin. Once I was out of his sight I sighed heavily "Man that guy's creepy". I walked by the main room again but this time the bunny was staring at me the whole time. Watching my every move. I felt my face heat up again and quickly walked outside towards my car. As I got in my car I was having second thoughts about this job. "Would it really be a good idea to stay up all night watching this filthy place with its creepy animatronics?" I thought "Well at least I won't have to get yelled at by my family so I guess it wouldn't hurt.".

William's POV

 I grinned as Jack left my office. "He would be a fun one to train, and oh when he realizes those robots out front are going to come after him!" I laughed at the thought. Though there was something different about him than the other night guards before him. He had this sort of aura that just seemed really off. Ah it's probably just my imagination, but if he does get in the way I'll make sure he is taken care of...

WHEW, 963 words not too bad if I do say so myself. Well not sure if I would count this as a prologue but hey I do what I want. Its my story after all. Welp hope you enjoyed the prologue author out!😋
