Leo sat on the floor of his room, trying to meditate the horrible thoughts away, but they just kept coming.
"You let us down, bro!"
"You did this!"
it's all your fault, Leo!"
Leo squeezed his eyes shut, trying to block out the voices. "I'm a failure...I am a horrible leader." He muttered.
He knew it was just a vision. He knew it wasn't real. But he just couldn't help remembering those words from the people he loved the most.
"I'm a failure."

The three younger brothers sat at the table eating breakfast. "Hey, where's Leo?" Mikey commented as he shoved a piece of bacon in his mouth.
Donnie looked up. "That's unusual, he
never misses breakfast." He looked in the direction of Leo's room.Raph shrugged. "Ya know how he is, he's probably training early in the dojo with Master Splinter."
Mikey hummed. "I hope he's ok, he seemed kinda down after the whole mutant mushroom thing."
Donnie placed a hand on his younger brother's carapace. "He's probably fine, Mikey." He reassured Mikey.
Leo was not fine.
For an entire week, he didn't speak a word to his brothers or even leave his room much. It was concerning his brothers immensely.
When it was time for Space Heros to come on TV, Leo didn't even come out of his room. He just sat wallowing in his thoughts.
Raph, Donnie and Mikey sat in front of the TV. Raph grumbled about the show being stupid but sat down anyway.
"Where's Leo?" Mikey wondered aloud, his voice filled with worry. "He's never missed an episode of Space Heros!"
Raph looked in the direction of Leo's room, feeling slightly worried. "He's been acting weird all week."
"Yeah, he didn't respond to me when I said hi to him earlier!" Mikey said sadly. "It was like he was annoying me."
"Same here, he wouldn't even talk to me!" Raph added. "He hasn't spoken to us in a week!"
"Hm, we should go make sure he's ok...he was distant all day." Donnie confirmed, looking up.
They all agreed to do so and walked to Leo's room, knocking on his door. Leo jumped and dried his red eyes.
"Leo?" A voice called. Raph. "Uh, can we come in?" He called though the closed door. Leo sighed and opened the door.
The brothers were shocked at his state. His eyes were red-rimmed and his mask was wet with tears.
"What's up with ya, bro?" Raph asked, moving slightly closer to his older brother. "You've been acting weird all week.
Leo took a deep breath to regain his composure. "I'm fine guys." He muttered, not looking them in the eye.
"No you're not!" Donnie interrupted. "You haven't spoken a word to us all week, obviously something is bothering you."
"Yeah, you didn't even come down to watch Space Heros!" Mikey chimed in, his baby blue eyes gazing at his big brother.
Leo could feel the tears filling his eyes but he wouldn't dare let them fall. He gripped the door frame. "Just drop it, it's nothing."
Mikey stepped forward. "Bro, just tell us what's wrong, we're really worried about you."
Leo squeezed his eyes shut, trying to take a few deep breaths. "Just....just leave me alone."
"Come on Leo, just talk to us!"
"We can help you, bro!"
"We're worried about you."
Leo's breathing increased. He could almost here the cruel words of blame hiding the ones of comfort. Finally, he just couldn't take it anymore.
"I'm a failure!" He screamed, silencing all of them. "You all said it yourselves! I'm not fit to be a leader!"
Tears pooled down his cheeks, shocking his brothers. "Bro, what are you talking about? We never would think of you as a failure."
Leo choked as a sob escaped him. "It....It was d-during the whole fungus thing....my worse fear came true."
Raph placed a hand on Leo's quivering shoulder. "What's your worst fear?" He asked quietly.
"Being a....a failure and losing all of you, in my vision, you all said it was my fault....that I did this...I don't want to lose you!"
He finally broke down sobbing. "I....I'm a failure....I let you all Shen, this was all my fault, I'm a horrible leader!"
Mikey threw his arms around his big brother and the others quickly followed suit and they just sat, hugging him.
After a while, he calmed down and pulled away. Raph moved closer to him and grinned a bit.
"Leo, aren't a failure or a horrible leader...you're our older brother and your pretty much the best dang leader we could ever want."
"Yeah bro, you totally saved us a bunch of times! You're not a failure!" Mikey added, smiling a little.
"We couldn't ask for a better leader or brother, you're the best." Donnie said encouragingly, smiling.
Leo wiped his eyes, grinning a bit. "You really think of me that way?" They all nodded, hugging him again.
nodded"Of course Leo, don't ever think of yourself as a failure or a bad leader, you are our brother and we love you."
Leo smiled for the first time all week.
"I guess I'm not such a bad leader after all."
