"Let's get lit!" I yelled as my best friend Lennon and I walked into the club.
This place was loud.
The club was divided into two sections: one of which that had the dance floor and the bar, the other having a karaoke place. The two sections were divided by a soundproof wall that ran down the whole building.
Grabbing Lennon's hand, I ran towards the bar excitedly. I quickly snagged two bar stools for my best friend and I.
The bartender turned around to face us, a gentle smile on his face. And damn is he attractive.
"Hello there! What can I get you two ladies today?" He asked with a sweet voice.
"Can I have a mimosa?" I beamed at him, making him tilt his head at me with a small smile.
"I think you should drink some water. Alcohol isn't good for you,"
"Dude. Water is free here and you're a bartender!" I reminded him, snickering a tad. He shrugged.
"Just because I'm a bartender doesn't mean I'm not a holy child with beliefs! How about I take you to church sometime?" The brunet laughed and started making my mimosa.
"Are you asking her out?" Lennon suddenly asked, a small smirk gracing my best friend's lips.
"I don't know, am I?" He simply chuckled and handed me my drink. "And what would you like, ma'am?" Lennon bit the inside of her cheek while humming, a cute habit she had when she was indecisive.
"Let's be basic, can I have a piña colada pleasseee?" Nodding again, the bartender got back to work to make her drink.
"What's your name?" I asked him suddenly. He hummed out a: 'hm?' like he didn't hear me. "Your name,"
"Ahh, I'm Joshua Hong." He told me with a kind smile, handing Lennon her drink. "What about you two ladies?"
"She's Song Lennon, my best friend," I told him.
"Idiot!" Someone said. I quickly looked up and saw a man around the same height as Joshua hitting him behind the head. This man was very feminine and had beautifully long platinum blond hair that was tied up into a messy ponytail. Judging by the matching uniforms these two were wearing, the two were coworkers.
"Hey," The blond said, leaning over the counter to me. "Jisoo here isn't very good with girls, but I can tell he thinks you're pretty. What did he ask you?"
"What do you mean by that-"
"You know what I mean!" He laughed. I snickered softly and bit my lip.
"He asked if he could take me to church sometime," The man's jaw dropped, the corners of his mouth turned upward and his eyebrows raised in amusement.
"hA!"
"Hyung, go awwwwaaaayyy!" Joshua whined, pouting and shoving the other away from him. The feminine boy shook his head and laughed, patting the pouty male on the shoulder.
"Get out of here kid. You have to get home, right?" Joshua sighed and nodded. The blond ruffled his hair affectionately and pushed him towards the back door.
"I'm Yoon Jeonghan, by the way. What do we have? A piña colada and a mimosa?" I nodded as he punched numbers into a cash register. "Alrighty! Your total is $18.79!" Without missing a beat, Lennon pulled out her credit card and paid for both of us.
"Thanks," I smiled at her, which she gladly returned.
Lennon and I sipped at our drinks while talking (more like yelling) to each other over the loud music for the next ten minutes or so, until a familiar figure walked out behind the bar counter to make his way to the exit.
"Joshua!" I yelled and grabbed him by the sleeve of his shirt, making him look at me in surprise. "My name is Dior," I told him with a small smile. "Han Dior." The brunet's expression changed from a shocked one, to one of contentment. As his smile dragged across his face, I couldn't help but notice the small twinkle in his eyes.
"Okay Miss Dior. Church sometime?" I laughed and pushed him away from me, making him laugh as well.
"Get home Jesus Boy!"
"I'm going, I'm going!" He called back as I slowly watched him exit the club.
Soon after that, Lennon and I finished our drinks and ran out to the dance floor. My best friend has always been such an amazing dancer, but I was less fortunate. The only talent I had was that I could sing— and speak another language, if that even counts as a talent.
Despite being an awful dancer though, I was having a lot of fun. I always considered myself a bit of an extrovert with my love for clubbing, leaving the house, and meeting new people. I did have to drag Lennon here however, because she's quite the opposite of me— a homebody who just wants to drink in the comfort of her own home.
Because of my clubbing hobby, I'm often warned about creepy people who drug other people's drinks just in order to get them to sleep with them. However, that hasn't happened to me, nor have I ever been hit on by someone.
Until now.
"Hey!" Someone said, placing a single hand on one of my hips that caused me to jolt. Behind me was a guy. He looked younger than me, but still had masculine features. "Sorry if I scared you!" He smiled sheepishly. "I was just wondering.. are you here with her? Or is she single..?" I looked where he was looking, his eyes happening to land directly on Lennon.
"She's here with me, but only as friends!" I reassured him, smiling. "How old are you?"
"Me? I'm 20," He seemed to become very flustered. "I'm not what people would call 'confident' but I think she's really cute! Do you think she'd dance with me?"
"Well.. can you dance?" The young boy's face lit up and he handed me his drink before backing up a bit. He waiting a couple seconds before starting to freestyle to the fast, loud, and upbeat music. All of his moves were sharp and he was really good at dancing. After about a minute, he ran over to me and grabbed his drink.
"Do you think she'll dance with me?!" He asked excitedly. I gave him a sly smirk and nodded.
"Lennon!" I called my best friend, making her walk over to me with a smile. "Lennon, this is.."
"Lee Chan." He said, smiling shyly and scratching the back of his neck. "I'm 20.. are you a noona?" The curly haired girl nodded back at him, smiling softly.
"I'm 22," She laughed softly.
"Would you like to dance?"
And they started dancing, leaving me by myself. Not that I really minded, though. So, I quickly made my way to the karaoke room.
