Chapter 2:
Marianne Johnson meets Annabeth Chase
Marianne Johnson's POV
Hi, I'm Marianne Johnson. I have straight black hair and bright blue eyes. Unlike other girls, I can talk freely to Percy Jackson, the popular boy in Goode High. Me and Percy are in a group called 'The Swim Team', consisting of me, Percy, James, Dustin and Harry. I can be in this group because my brother is James Johnson. I have a huge crush on Percy like every other girls in the school, but he says that he has a girlfriend he loves very much. Before you go on a rant about me having a crush on a taken guy, I always think that Percy saying that he has a girlfriend, is fake because the school slut, Amelia Scottish, always ask him out. "Percy poo, my parents are going out tonight. Wanna come over?" Amelia asked suductively. Percy groaned and said, "I have a girlfriend whom I love very much." Amelia huffed and walked away with her lackeys. "Nice job, Perce. You sucessfully made up a girlfriend who looked like a goddess." Dustin said. "She is real and it's Percy." He said. "So are we going to your house today?" My brother asked Percy. He nodded and showed us to his car. We were all in awe when we saw his car. "Wow Percy. Red Meserati Spyder." Harry said. Percy smirked proudly and my insides melted. "Hop on."
"Wise Girl! I'm home." Percy shouted. "I thought this is your apartment?" I asked. Percy ignored me and put his bag on the couch. He walked into one of the rooms and we followed. The room has blue wallpaper with grey dots and a four poster bed, that I always wished to have. It has a wooden shelf full of books and a sea green table with grey and blue chairs. Back to Percy. He climbed up to bed and we saw a girl with honey blonde princess curls and soft pink lips. Even though she was asleep, she was beautiful. Percy pressed a kiss to her temple and left quietly. Is she his girlfriend? Couldn't be. She must be his sister. I thought. I immediately cheered up at the revelation and we walked yo the living room. "So what do you guys want to do?" Percy asked. We shrugged and sat down on the couch. We ate chips and watched television, joking and playing around. "I'm hungry." My brother moaned. We heard a soft giggle and soon after, an aroma of food drifted before us. The boys looked at each other before sprinting to the kitchen. I sighed and followed them. The blonde girl was cooking and the boys were sitting on the dining table. I sat between my brother and Percy but the boys were busy looking at the blonde girl who was cooking. She turned around and we were met with sparkling grey eyes and pearly white teeth. "I cooked lunch." She giggled. My brother flushed when he realized that she had heard him moaning about his hunger.
"Annabeth, why aren't you eating?" Percy asked. "I ate before going to sleep Seaweed Brain." So her name is Annabeth. I thought. "You look beautiful." Dustin said. Annabeth blushed and Percy glared at him. Percy took long strides to Annabeth and wrapped his arms around her. "She's taken." Percy said lovingly, kissing her forehead. My heart broke and tears threatening to fall. The guys looked at me sympathecally as they knew I had crush on him. I excused myself to the toilet and cried softly. "Marianne, are you alright?" A soft voice called out. Annabeth. I thought. "Yeah. I'm fine." Annabeth opened the door and saw me crying. She went forward and hugged me, comforting me. "What's wrong?" She asked. I just realized that the boy I had a crush on has a girlfriend. "Nothing, just that my boyfriend broke up with me yesterday." Annabeth wiped my tears away and made my favorite snacks for me. I think that Annabeth and Percy makes a good couple. She is a wondeful girl.
