Here we go again, another burst of inspiration. Just got a kitten last week and many thing hav been popping to mind ever since. So what did I do? I wrote them down in poem form of course! Hope you like it!

The Hunt
Inexperienced,
Untaught,
Watching as my prey swings back and forth,
Taunting me with the consistent squeak.
Pounce,
Miss,
Try again,
Same response,
It watches me as I watch it.
What it it couldnt see?
What if im smart?
Size and stealth I have going for me.
Standing above,
My rightful place on the food chain,
Pounce,
Miss,
Try again,
Same response,
Give up?
Never.
Sight doesn't matter,
I'll try my stealth.
Hiding in shadows, behind objects,
Pounce,
Catch!
Escape,
So close,
Try again.
Same technique,
Use the shadows,
Im bigger heavier,
I can do this,
Use my size against it,
Pounce,
Catch!
Silence at last!
The silence was broken my the sound something being torn open,
The meaty aroma reaches my nose,
Running,
Towards my stomachs desire,
The old prey forgotten.

This is just something a bit more cheery than my past stuff. I just thought i'd give it a go at getting into my cats mind. Its amazing what their instincs can tell them (in my opinion anyway)
