I collapse on my bed and sob. I moan out Augustus waters name over and over. All I want is for him to return, to come back to me. I hear a gentle knock on the door and see my mom holding the phone, her hand covering the speaker. "Hazel",she coaxes my to the door frame. "It's the hospital, they have a cure." I gasp. Although I'm happy beyond limits, I can't imagine a life without gus. "We have to go now, come on Hazel." I grab the oxygen tank and imagine not carting it around anymore. At that thought I almost smiled for the first time since Gus died. I hop in the car and think about what will happen when I'm cured. When my infinity with Augustus becomes further away.
